Good Saturday Morning! It's 68° with a cloudy sky here at dawn. This afternoon I have to make a trip to the pharmacy and then return to my regularly scheduled goofing off. Getting the smoking day going with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the ol' Peterson Rosslare 106 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good great weekend everybody!

Happy Saturday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee on the front porch. It's 73, humid with hazy sunshine and a light breeze off the lake here. About to head into the garden.

Friar's Bayou in the Saturday cob on the back deck. Harvested more cucumbers, eggplant, Hungarian and banana peppers, green beans AND tomatoes! I've got to pick them just as they start to ripen and finish them in the house. Otherwise, the squirrels will get to them. Still got to check on the zucchini.

Having a quick bowl of GH Dark Bird’s Eye in a TV churchwarden before heading to my friend’s funeral. I don’t expect I’ll get to smoke again until late this evening.

It's 72°, cloudy, and very humid out here on the deck right now. I'm taking advantage of the break in the rain and a break from the Yankees vs Blue Jays game as the Yankees lead 6-1. Currently smoking a bowl of Scottish Flake in the Kaywoodie Relief Grain apple and there's a glass of cold water on the side.

Yikes, August 3rd and I am just having my first pipe of the month??? The Schoenberger Hand Made Natural Canadian with Peter Stokkebye's Oriental English... A bottle of Sprite alongside... Where I live in Gadsden Alabama, it is the starting line for the "Worlds Longest Yard Sale" Supposedly goes for over 400 miles on Hwy 127. Last year we got his by a tornado and it wiped out all the sellers within a 1/2 mile of my house. Trees were down for months before they could be removed. The roads were blocked for days. Luckily no one was killed, just a few injured. This year we have had good olde fashioned Alabama Hot Weather. 97º F Heat nixes at 110º F. A normal summer week for us. And the yard sellers are out in droves! So traffic is an issue. Normally throughout the course of the day there are three to four ambulances that pass by the house. While the yard sale is on NOT A ONE?? Oh well, staying inside where the A/C is still performing it's duty! Stay smokey my friends! Or, Puff On Me Hearties if ye will!!

Storms are rolling across the bay tonight, lightning flashes, thunder and scared pups. I’m smoking a bowl of Union Square in my Bing’s favorite. I left this tin a few weeks ago and expected sawdust, but it’s smoking like a champ. There’s really nothing like old Fortescue during stormy weather as long as the lights stay on. Happy night folks.

Union Square really rocks...but then again anything Greg puts out is excellent. I think he is the Rembrandt of tobacco blenders in our generation and long after he is gone, he will be rightly revered. I always look forward to seeing him in Vegas, very approachable, and very humble. I am glad that I live in a time that I can express my appreciation, and converse with him. I am glad that his products are readily available, I suspected that the deeming rules by the FDA was going to put the kabash on production...glad I was wrong. thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/10607/smoking-march-2023?page=20&scrollTo=439526

Smoking 2016 Sutliff Virginia Slices with a pinch of 2021 Wessex Gold Brick and a bigger pinch of 2023 Gawith Bright CR flake, in a GBD Conquest Prehistoric 9645 sandblasted Dublin, with a big fluted bowl on it. First time smoking this pipe that I bought at NASPC last year. Bought for cheap then realized it had a replacement stem on it.

After our cigars, I had a bowl of Friar's Bayou in the barrel-shaped meerschaum while hanging out with my son on the back deck. Now, I'm having a bowl of GL Pease Blackpoint in a Dunhill Shell Dublin with an appropriate dram to pair.

This was a long day. Finally back to my pipe at about 2:30AM. Had to squeeze one in before bed just to settle my mind back to some semblance of normal (for me, at least). I’m smoking Sun Bear Mountain Flower, primarily because it was the closest tobacco to me in a BC calabash.

Good Sunday Morning! It's a cool 64° with a clear sky and everything is wet from overnight rain here at dawn. This afternoon my grandson is coming by to help me figure out the electrical problem with the workshop. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Don Carlos smooth bent Two Note and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one everybody!

Good Morning Again! It's 69° right now with a hazy sky and bright sunshine streaming through the neighborhood trees. Just lit up a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake in the MM General cobwarden while sipping my coffee and watching an old TV program on YouTube.
