Storms are rolling across the bay tonight, lightning flashes, thunder and scared pups. I’m smoking a bowl of Union Square in my Bing’s favorite. I left this tin a few weeks ago and expected sawdust, but it’s smoking like a champ. There’s really nothing like old Fortescue during stormy weather as long as the lights stay on. Happy night folks. Union Square really rocks...but then again anything Greg puts out is excellent. I think he is the Rembrandt of tobacco blenders in our generation and long after he is gone, he will be rightly revered. I always look forward to seeing him in Vegas, very approachable, and very humble. I am glad that I live in a time that I can express my appreciation, and converse with him. I am glad that his products are readily available, I suspected that the deeming rules by the FDA was going to put the kabash on production...glad I was wrong. thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/10607/smoking-march-2023?page=20&scrollTo=439526I agree, I love Greg’s blends. A true artist when it comes to creating interesting new blends. We are living in great times when it comes to access to pipe tobacco. I’ve been waiting for the shoe to drop in terms of the FDA, let’s hope our luck holds out!

Good morning, more Union Square in a Peterson bulldog. Cloudy start to the day here on the bay, rain is supposed to be moving in but no storms, just showers. Still a lot of biting flies around, but you can tell their season is coming to an end. Can’t come too soon I miss it here. Have a good one all!

Good Late Morning! It's 79° and today will be hazy, hot, 'n humid. Out on the deck and smoking a bowl of Scottish Flake in the Stanwell Silver Mount blasted billiard while getting ready to do some reading and there's a glass of cold water on the side.

Fed the garden plants, so they remain productive. Now, I'm having another bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob, with a mug of cold water on the back deck.

I trained a new employee that grew up in Battle Creek Mi., moved here a year ago. A really nice guy with a wholesome attitude, he will make a great addition to the team. I made me feel like an old fart...he is 40 years old, and when I told him the year I got my CDL, he said "Wow, I wasn't even a gleam in my dad's eye then"

Good Morning! It's 65° with some clouds here at first light and the high temperature will be about 90° again. I seem to have lost my pipe tool and it may show up the next time that I sweep out the workshop. I'm using an ancient small jack knife as a substitute until then. Anyway, I have to make a supermarket run and gas up the car this afternoon. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of fresh HH Pure VA Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one everybody!

Still mostly smoking the can of Sun Bear Mountain Flower since it’s been the closest tobacco to me and I’ve been feeling a little uninspired in general these past few days. I’m going to have to pull out of it soon though, there’s only about one bowl left in the can and I’m going to have to start picking others to smoke real soon.
