Good Morning Again! It's 50°, breezy, with a clear sky, bright sunshine, quiet, and is just a beautiful Autumn day out here on the deck. I'm smoking a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake as I continue breaking in the new MM General. I think that I'll sit, sip my leftover coffee, and be with the morning for now.

Happy Saturday! Started the day with a rare breakfast at breakfast time. Then a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee. It's 53, partly sunny and breezy here. Taking a day off from any kind of work. Just taking it easy.

Bow legged bear in 1970's French made Rhodesian that my highschool English teacher gave me. He purchased it after his time in the service in Vietnam. Steve Laug restored it for me.

That is a nice specimen from the lab of the mad scientist, Ron.
Only a mad scientist would come up with that, and a mad smoker would cotton to it.
That is a really nice piece...a crazy shape without over-craziness like some of the Japanese pipes.

Good Sunday Morning! It's a frosty 30° with a mostly clear sky here at dawn and the workshop heating appliances and up and keeping me warm. This afternoon I have to drain the deck hose water supply line for winter. My first pipe of the smoking day is a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the MM General cobwarden and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

I'm smoking some old Half & Half from the tobacco related gifts I inherited from my neighbor's father. This was the most dry of the three pouches, and I first thought to trash it, but her Pop kept it all these years, and I didn't think it was my place to toss it...
I dropped an apple core in the pouch around midnight, and this morning the crispy little nuggets were in fine shape for smoking. this incarnation of H & H is void of the off-putting chemical taste that haunts what they produce these days; I'm tasting nutty burley with some dark sweetness like brown sugar or molasses.
The pipe is my trusty ole Kristi freehand, and the coffee is Folgers.

Good Almost Evening! It's 57° with a partly cloudy sky and sunshine out here on the deck. Our town designates two hours on the Sunday afternoon before Halloween as a time for parents to take their little kids around for trick-or-treating. I'm now recovering from the tough job of handing out candy.  Currently smoking a bowl of fresh MM965 in the MM Mark Twain cob and there's a glass of cold water on the side.
