I am afraid to crack the tin of that one I have...I expect to end up in a Rod Serling odyssey. 😅😅😅 It's actually quite smooth. 👍 I remember when in our infancy as a pipe club we met at Ye Old pipe shop in Phoenix. You could not make it and you called in a tin to the pipe club and we therfore had a tin of Da Vinci!...Gary as a Lataholic only brought heavy English, I brought Dunhill Nitecap, John brought an English...By the end of that meeting, I felt like I had fought in the trenches of WWI. Bombed to the stone age. It's all good though, but I give English blends a wider berth now.

Stunning pipe, and quite a grasshopper, Grasshopper! Thanks! It's one of the last ones Bruce Weaver made along with being one of the most unusual pipes I've ever seen. He actually turned a chunk of lapis lazuli to be its mortise.

Good Morning! It's 33° here with a mostly clear sky. This afternoon I have to do a load of laundry and make a supermarket run. Getting the smoking day going with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Freestyle smooth bent billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Happy Wednesday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob and coffee. It's 49, sunny and breezy here. Busy with some indoor housekeeping. I'll get outside in a bit. I'll be picking up bags of compost/manure today to finish the prep of the new garden box and planting bed.

Good Afternoon! It's 54°, cloudy, and mild enough to sit out on the deck. Currently smoking a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the MM Mark Twain cob with a glass of water on the side.

Mihrimah in a commissioned piece from IMP. Very nice. What’s the tobacco? A blend of Yenidje, Samsun, Red Virginias, and Perique with an infusion of mango essence that I put together a few years ago. I named it after an Ottoman princess.

Having a bowl of C&D Carolina Red Flake with Perique 2021 from a freshly opened can. Slight swelling and a nice whoosh when I opened the tin. A bit of vinegary, ketchupy tin note. The pipe of choice is a James Upshall lumberman.

I haven't tried any of it, yet, though.
Pretty close to finishing my jar of OGS. Next tin of it I open will be one of the aged ones I've been sent. Probably the one from Charlie. I've had it longest. I think it's from 2016.
