antb thanks for the link! Unfortunately it doesn't address my specific questions but I can make my assumptions (which is dangerous ) based on the information that is described. Did you say it was unsmoked? I wouldn't think it would be a replacement stem if that was the case. The date codes are sort of unknown on Parkers it seems after the 60s. 97 may mean 1997, and maybe the late 1990's Parkers didn't have stem stamps. I'd check with DMCMTK (Dave) at PSU, he's DukeSt.Dave on PipeMag. He knows quite a bit about pipe nomenclature. It was very litely smoked, the inside of bowl was still bare top 1/3 so assuming one or 2 partial bowls were smoked in it. Could not distinguish any odor when I smelled it before bidding. And thank you for the info!

was sitting out this morning trying to get some blends in! First was Bullseye Flake in a MM Mark Twain with bent amber stem. Next was Navigator in a MM Country Gent with bent black stem, and finally was Cherry Bomb in a MM red Mark Twain with bent black stem. I lost my shade so I'm inside trying to stay cool

Almost half way through this bowl of House Of Calabash Seven of Nine in a 2002 smooth natural straight silver banded Ardor Venere Extra Fatta A Mano Maigret billiard, signed by Dorelio Rovera and a black acrylic stem. Suzy is being very persistent about wanting attention, and I've had her bat foam rubber ear plugs around the den. Molly's just watching.

Finishing the Marbled, Fired & Stoved from last night in the MM Diplomat Apple HW with a cup of hazelnut coffee.
I really liked this mix, just added a little dark & smoky flavor to liven up the Marble Kake a bit.

Sir, I like that pipe. Very nice. Morning TBP. Walking with Cricket smoking amphora brown in a Peterson Aran. Community coffee, neat. Y'all have a fine day.
Interesting fact for you -- smoking while walking is called "lunting" and there is an International Lunting Society some of us belong to!
www.lunting.org/
I had no idea. Seldom take Cricket for a walk without a pipe. Thanks for the info. Viprati in a savinelli venere bulldog with modified stem Ice tea.
