Life goes on. Both good and bad have happened here. Some of the good was I got me an electric folding bicycle, a new tablet and the new to me Geppetto bent billiard stack which has turned out to be a great smoking pipe, one of if not the best of the pipes I have. I also get me a Wenger Swiss quartz watch I really like(cause I can see the dial). Edith quit driving the Amish, for health reasons. We've really have enjoyed our time together. My cell phone needed replacement. I got a Samsung Galaxy S 9. It's great, but the setting up of a new phone and contacts list is a pain in the butt.
The worst thing to happen is I hit a raccoon, which caused $1500 damage to the Smart Fortwo car.Having such an expense caused both of us some excessive worry. I was able to get a loan to fix it, which relieved most of our concerns.The coon hit in such a way as to damage the radiator, the A/ C condenser and the radiator bracket.

I'm still playing with my Samsung 5. I don't know what I will do when it dies..I don't use a phone enough to pay today's big bucks for one.I may just go back to a flip phone..All I do is make calls anyway.

I can identify with this TED talk. Until I became a senior I believed what the world said about me. I was to short, too slow, too fat and of course,not smart enough. I now know I'm good enough just as I am. Older.slower and fatter now . My detractors can just sod off!

Well...No, Martin, please don't go away and not come back...we've had too much of that already....and Martin certainly is entitled to his feelings and thoughts, much so that most of us like to hear his thoughts and feelings...so there is that. Besides which 99.9% of what Martin says is worth saying....but I don't agree with him on Grumpy's thread.
