Stupid I know but how does one reduce the size of a photo? I've seen others here do it, hence the question. Thanks.

A little off topic but, Pappyjoe, I had no idea they still made Zima. Please tell me where you got that

I use Imgur from pictures taken from my Iphone, but I have always posted from a pc or laptop...I tried using the Imgur app and typing in the Img code...no dice.

I never knew James Cagney played the guitar. Pretty short shelf life on that picture.

I never knew James Cagney played the guitar. Pretty short shelf life on that picture. And smoked a pipe while doing it. I was testing the Amazon Prime picture hosting. I can't get it to work for anything.

Is there a way to post pictures from the mobile site?

Is there a way to post pictures from the mobile site? Yes, but you have to manually add the tags before and after the link - like this (without the quotes and no space between [ and img - had to add the space to get the example to ignore the tag) "[ img]the link to your image[/img]"

Testing.... Well, that worked nicely. I've seen a lot of folks having difficulty with posting from PhotoBucket...and images disappearing after a time when that's the source. I use Tiny Pic as my host; simple.

Baboo, the reason it didn't work is because you didn't grab the right code; yours is missing the necessary code on either side of the URL. If you use TinyPic, grab the code from the field I've circled here...(where it says "IMG code for forums")...and then paste that in your text reply; your image will post.

So I went to Tinypic and all these adds popped up and bitcoin stuff etc. I don't like that. Here's an alternative.... Setup a free webpage with Wordpress and upload your photos to that site (you don't need to publish them on the site). You'll get a url for your picture which you can post here (testing)...

Am I missing something here?
I just email the picture to myself, save it to my downloads file and use the add attachment button at the top right corner. From the box I click on the add files button, select my picture, click done and post.
If I am adding a picture from the web, I right click on the picture, copy the image address and then click on the insert image icon (top of create post under the add attachment button), paste the image address in the box that says Image URL and then click on Insert Image and post.
Is there a reason to do otherwise?

If I understand correctly...this site has "some" storage space...so they'd rather that the image was hosted elsewhere. Your first method is adding the actual file here, and would mean it's being hosted by this site. But yep, both of those work as well.
Legend Lover...I have a good ad blocker...I see none of those ads you refer to. But you've added another good option.

We have some forum storage, but I would recommend and prefer if people use a photo hosting service as the internal storage is limited. From the mod's mouth.

I was also using the 'add attachment' function too until this thread was resurrected.

Not at all, LL. I was just poking a little fun at myself for not reading the entire thread before posting
