I have a few blends I've been holding on to and haven't tried yet. DaVinci, Irish Oak, and the Borkum Riff Wine. I just opened Armada from Hearth and Home for the first time. It got me thinking, any of y'all have tins, cans, or tubs y'all been holding on to but haven't tried yet?

I've got a several blends in the cellar I haven't gotten around to trying yet. Most are similar to other blends I already have open that I got in step ladders. Some I wanted to try, so I bought them when they were on sale. The Borkum Riff freebies will probably sit for a long time before I get the nerve to try them.

I have several Aromatics that I have little interest in trying, but since I'm going to start taking notes, I'll try them, then give them away or would be good for a Box Pass.

FWIW, I really enjoyed the Trinidad Rum more than I probably should have. Smoked nice and slow gave no bite. Been wary of the wine one though.

The rum doesn't sound that bad, there's more than a few tobaccos flavored with rum. I haven't seen many flavored with wine though.

I did for a while. Probably had 7 or 8 tins I was waiting to crack. One day I did something really stupid, I gave them away. To my dad, who will probably never smoke them. I had a tin of Quiet Nights with a year and some change on it that I was saving for a special occasion to try. Man, I'm kicking myself now.

Dunhills are few and far between in Slovakia, so you have to actively search/order it. I decided to stock up on most of the blends that caught my interest based on the brand's reputation alone, and also because I heard there will be some ruckus & changes. However, there are so many blends I enjoy at the moment that I don't think I've actually smoked any of the Dunhill tobaccos from my stash yet.
I reckon it will be some time before I pop the Dunhill cherry, especially now I got to explore tobaccos from the likes of W.O. Larsen, Peter Stokkebye, or Paul Olsen. There's just no need right now, but I'm sure I will get to it...

We know better... There are 6747 blends listed at TR.com. Even if you take out all the ones that are 1-Q, you still have a few thousand, lol. I'm at 1926 reviews right now, and I'll never smoke them all. Nobody could afford them all.

If you haven't done it by the time I finish college, I might just dedicate a few weeks to gathering all of your review from the various sites and putting them into an ebook file. If for no reason, I wouldn't mind having access to all of them at once like that.

I bought two tins of Three Oaks on my tobacconists' recommendation and never opened one because I read that it had already been discontinued and I wanted to wait till it was a surprise some day.

Jim, if you do a book of your reviews, make it a comic book series.

I recently opened a 2 year and some change old Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky that I'd bought and just threw in the cellar. I'm sitting on pretty much only C&D Burley Flake #2 that I haven't tried. Everything else sealed I've had. I'll usually open everything up when I get new blends, even if I get like 10 tins. Poppin like Pringles when I get new blends.

I'm with Billy on the Comic Book series.
I have several tins of unopened Toby. Most of them intentionally left that way. I liked Grousemoor and Bothy Flake, so I have some extra of those waiting to put some age on. A few tins had years listed and when I find a reason I will open them. Example of Samuel Gawith's 2013 watchamadigger. I seem to be getting a bad rep as an Aro lover, but I love my English as well. English is just easier to please me with as I am not expecting Grape or Vanilla or Cherry to stand out. It's like Dunhill Aperitif or Nightcap. You get exactly what you think it is. You don't need to go fishing for it. Also picked up Sam G's Jubilee 2012. Bought it because the price was normal price. Have not opened them yet. Can't believe they are still available at a normal price.

Jim, if you do a book of your reviews, make it a comic book series. Only if you do one on frying eggs!!!

I am trying not to open too many more tins as I struggle to smoke down what is already popped. My main project now, among many, is to demote as many blends as I can so as to get the Cellar down to my Top300. On a typical day, I puff about 3 bowls, all different blends and different pipes. On club nights and events, I might go several extra bowls, since I'm always sampling. hp les

These are my unopened ones. They're a little over 4 years old now. Which one would you open first?

...far too many to list...most I already have a fair idea of what they smoke/taste like...many are tobaccos no longer in production, so I hold them until either a special occasion or when I'm ready for a walk down memory lane...

I have about a half dozen tins of things that I haven't tried yet. I like what I like and am well past the stage of feeling the need to try every blend ever made. I'd rather smoke a bowl that I know I'm going to enjoy.

I've got a couple of boxes full of tins that I've never tried. Too numerous to list. I'm trying to smoke all the ones that I have open before I crack open any more tins.

I'd rather smoke a bowl that I know I'm going to enjoy. There is a lot of wisdom in that statement... if you can find contentment in a half dozen blends, and cellar them deeply, it simplifies things. Conversely, if you have a better palate than mine l, and have the means to cellar everything you want, that is cool.
