I'm probably only going on Friday night after work. I'd love to go Saturday as well but I'm not paying for a hotel when I live 2 hours and 20 min away and I'll spend too much money on Friday. Unless something changes.

25th & 26th, next week. I'm getting pretty excited to go. Can't wait to see @lady Margaret johnlawitzke serenity haebar and several other friends! I'm most likely only going on Friday opening night, though. I am not getting a hotel unless plans change but I really want to be there Saturday for the raffle so we'll see. Gonna do my best to buy pounds of tobacco and aged tins and no pipes. |

can't wait to see you too, as well as all the others. hubby is looking forward to meeting Ollie  I have no idea what to even expect. I am hoping to find a Dagner Witches Warden, but not holding my breath on that one. Would like to find some Rattray's Exotic Orange. Other than that, just gonna see what is there.

I'm excited about this show. Wouldn't have been able to go had I not been offered a ride with a pipe maker, Ron Smith. Even though there are no tables available, I'm going in hopes of a cancellation or other arrangement so I can sell some of my estate pipes and tins. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Good luck! There will be about 120 vendor tables. Be sure to buy some raffle tickets early in the day on Saturday. They do hourly drawings. The last drawing of the day will be for numerous very nice pipes that have been donated. A couple of thoughts for the first time pipe show: Cash is king. Many vendors won't be able to accept a credit card. You can try to negotiate price with a dealer, but don't try to negotiate with an artisan pipe maker. It's always hard to decide whether to buy something when you see it or wait to look through the whole show and risk it being gone later. If there is a space open at a table of strangers, feel free to join them. You never know who you'll meet that way. Many of my pipe show friendships started that way. Only three more days!!! |

If your dream becomes reality, there is a Tinderbox store a couple miles south of the show location. When you get to the show, if there aren't people out smoking on the hotel bar patio, there are usually people smoking in the hotel courtyard. |

But I was taking FIL to Florida and not going to a pipe show....ok still wasn't good on my part. And my selection of pipes and baccy was not as good as what will be in Columbus that's for sure! |
