So busy watching Mad Dog Russo that I forgot to list my smoke. I'm a third of the way through this bowl of year 2002 Wessex Sovereign Curly Cut in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. A bottle of Boylan's Root Beer made with pure cane sugar is my drink.

WOW, good coffee! I now have some GH&Co. Louisiana Perique Flake in a Savinelli KS611 bent rusticated Dublin.
The mean ol' kitten is and has been a pest today. Starting off with waking me up to play or feed him. The stinker attacks my ankles and heels as I walk. It's play, play, eat, sleep, wake up and play more. His little eyes are turning yellow.

Following a lunch of homemade Green Chile Pork Stew topped with two fried eggs, PS Highland Whisky in a John Blunt Number 11 Billiard. Much rain overnight and today is cloudy, cool and damp. Hence, the substantial fare. Too early to build a fire. That comes in October.

I have loaded some of Lane's Andullo into a bamboo pipe which I got at the Chicago Pipe show, from a guy from Taiwan. It's all bamboo, bowl and stem. It is a surprisingly cool smoking pipe.

I just stuffed some "Smoker's Pride" black cavendish in to the bamboo pipe. It's a vanilla flavored black cavendish. Taste and smells quite nice, like cookies baking.
The only problem with the bamboo pipe is because it's walls are thin, it gets very hot to the touch. Meanwhile it smoke very cool.

This morning was some of Russ' Candy Corn in my Alpha Presentation bent apple, with a cup of black coffee. This afternoon, I tried out the Carter Hall in an 'unknown' pipe and my usual fermented cane juice and Coke. I really like the tobacco and this pipe but I would like to know more about the pipe. The only marking on it is on the bottom of the shank, a capital B R. Ideas?
