I just stuffed some "Smoker's Pride" black cavendish in to the bamboo pipe. It's a vanilla flavored black cavendish. Taste and smells quite nice, like cookies baking.
The only problem with the bamboo pipe is because it's walls are thin, it gets very hot to the touch. Meanwhile it smoke very cool.
Is the bowl made of bamboo? Can you post a photo? Now smoking RO Perique Series Blend P-37 in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair and a black vulcanite stem. The whole thing is made of bamboo, except for a bolster on the bamboo stem and the winding which holds the bolster in place. Once I figure out how to get the smart phone and computer to talk to one another, I'll get a photo or two.

Relaxing after a wonderful spaghetti dinner with a bowl of Peter Heinrichs Curly Block in a straight black sandblasted 1968 Dunhill Shell bulldog with a black vulcanite stem. Watching the Cubs-Cardinals game. Suzy was batting her paws at my foot. Molly got jealous, jumped off m'lady's lap, and proceeded to sit on Suzy's head. A big fight ensued and I got my foot back.

Got through the meat of my work week - office and evening meetings - Tues & Wed. Now more relaxed schedule and can concentrate on enjoying the pipe along with all the paperwork that has accumulated. PS LBF in a Becker rusticated brandy with typical fancy briar ringed stem, shouldered. Tea, black, of course.

Not far from finishing this bowl of McClelland 27 in a 2014 smooth medium bend Basil Meadows egg with an aluminum band and a "root beer swirl" acrylic stem. Taking a very short work break to feed Molly, who was trying to set a new record for yowlin'. Well, at least she kept in tune.
