Pipers who will start the same thread concurrently on differrent forums. You can only get so many attaboys and different answers on a thread! I've got to agree with you on this but what is like nails on a chalkboard to me is calling Pipe Smokers Pipers. I know it's a old well worn gripe but man I just can't stand it. As for the guys who don't like the "babes" I don't get it but your in good company. The pipe world is opposite of the cigar guys where a most of the magazines have a couple of girly "spreads", a centerfold and booth babes are pretty much mandatory at events (were you see many more wives and women in the hobby than at a pipe event). One poor guy got run out of a pipe show when he had a cute booth babe working at his table.

Pipe tobacco reviews by folks who do not have experience or the taste for a particular style of blend. For example,Aromatic pipe smokers who try an English tobacco and give it a poor review.
Those who dismiss a pipe tobacco just because it is a "Drug Store" or inexpensive blend. PS True Confession: I can relate to the later as I thought the same way at one time. Now I give it a shot before passing sentence.

I see this all the time. Sometimes I get a bit annoyed by it, but then I realize it's just someone trying to get as much input as possible. If we had thousands of active members here, maybe people wouldn't need to do that. I try not to sweat the small stuff. Life is too dang short for the small stuff

For the last couple years, I have been in charge of publicity for the Chicago Pipe Show. When I have info that needs to be spread around pipe community, I will copy the same post to five popular pipe forums. Then it becomes interesting how the people on different forums react to the same info.

Since this has been bumped, I've raised that I've been guilty of a lot of things that annoy others... Whoops.
In saying that, what else would we discuss?

!I really don’t have a gripe I like it all, sometimes I’m annoyed, but that will pass, the older I get the more I realize Who gives a shite in what I think. Wife doesn’t, kids think I’m a senile old fart. So I revile in my cunning play the old fool, kind of like James Bond without the hard Pistol. Ha ha, that’s an inside joke for you younger fellows, you’ll catch on down the road.!

Threads about pipe forum gripes, manliness threads, compulsively posting posters - especially when they admit they know nothing about the topic, have nothing to offer, and post anyway. It's like they're marking territory. "How do I clean my pipe" threads started by posters who have made no effort to do even a basic search. Cob snobs, high end snobs, tobacco snobs, any snobs. People who can't keep their politics to themselves and who can't accept responsibility for their actions.
I couldn't care less about anyone posting a query in multiple forums. You want answers, cast a wide net. Different forums have different areas of knowledge and expertise.

Again, a lot of these are like what I would post (I'm really learning a lot about people's perception of the things I do). First of all, if there is anyone that I actually HAVE pi$$ed off I do apologise. Believe me, there is no ulterior motive behind my posts. I'm not marking territory; at least, I don't think I am (I'm not quite sure what that means). However, if someone asks a question and there are no replies (yet) I feel that I have to at least acknowledge the op as a matter of courtesy. So in cases like that, I respond to say that I may not be one to answer, but in doing so, the op is acknowledged and the thread is bumped too which might help. ... Just an insight into my thought processes. Perhaps I'm wrong in doing so, but I take this place as a discussion among friends as opposed to a place to exchange knowledge.

I'm surprised no one has griped about necroposting, especially considering this thread is over 2 years old (right, haveldad ? )

It gets old when every thread is derailed, and I know I am responsible for some of it. The socializing posts in the WAYS thread gets out of hand often on this forum. We have other threads for that. But I love this place and all of my friends here, even if I seem snippy sometimes.
