You have raised my interest in Schwan foods. As I age and my health declines, the effort to shop, prepare and clean up is ever less appealing. Also, I am having real trouble maintaining any interest in food which is unusual for me. So, something appealing and ready made might be helpful. Made up a pot of pinhead oats. I guess they will store in the refer since I am not much for eating just now.

We regularly enjoy hamburgers from a local place, but yesterday I had a bit of a meltdown and was unable to finish it. I identified it later as a likely over-salting of the burger itself. At any rate, my best wishes Tosh, for your health and appetite.

Dinner is corned beef, small potatoes, and egg plant. Sort of an early St Patty's day meal. Then it's early to bed, early to rise, which at my age just keeps me treading water.

That’s nothing new, it’s been a known fact that the yolk has the “ bad “ cholesterol. Eat in moderation, you’ll be fine. Next year another study will be released contradicting this recent study. Remember the “ bad “ chocolate phobia that was in the news.

I recall reading reports that the risk associated with eggs was over stated. `Beef steak and eggs was a favorite of mine but those days have passed. give it a year and it'll be the opposite. They go back and forth on eggs, coffee, chocolate, and wine like crazy. I'm currently having bacon, sausage, eggs, and biscuits at my in-laws' house. Been here for a couple days, which is why I haven't been as active.

Watch out for that popcorn...if you have diverticulitis...those lil kernels will give you BIG problems if they get hung up in a pocket in you intestines. Coffee and blueberry muffins is the morning breakfast....maybe a English muffin, too.

A massive burger on the grill. First of the season!
Served on a bed of cheesy riced cauliflower. Grilled asparagus and a fire-roasted jalapeno to add some colour to the mess.
