My Walkers Prawn Cocktail Crisps just shipped by Royal Mail. π¦π¦ππ€ Just shipped...so it will be a few days before you see them. At least. If they were shipped from Italy I know it would be 8 days at the most. I haven't had much luck with shipping from Royal places. Germany is the worst though.

Ronv69......my last order from GQ in the U.K. arrived in 6 days. I agree, Germany is the worst, even China is much quicker. Good luckπ

Went to see my buddy George today. That's his American name..I can't pronounce his Greek name. He's owned a restaurant here in town for almost 30 years. He has the best cheese burgers and fries around. With the exception maybe of Whopper..Like the rest of us though George has gotten up in years and may not be able to keep working much longer..If he closes I sure will miss those cheese burgers.

Just finished some fried fish and shrimp. Wife picked up 5 quarts of gumbo to take to her weekend with the girls at our friends ranch. Supposed to be some weather so they're all bringing wine too.

A bowl full of crunchy cheese doodles. If I donβt put them in a bowl I could eat the entire bag. Allβs good in moderation π

I bet those cheeseburgers were great...I used to eat at a Greek restaurant in Tucson...right off I-10 across from a Roadway Inn (sp?..I don't remember the name of the 2 story motel)...exactly...it was across from a Waffle House that had some pretty good chili...30 yrs ago.

Momma is out with our daughter and despite opening a fridge packed full of stuff I have no idea. I had a bowl of chili for lunch and if I hold out long enough the dog and I can fight over the doggy bag when momma gets home.

Currently making pancakes for lunch. Had to sour the milk myself as I'd no buttermilk. They seem to be working out OK though.

Chewing on a slice of coffee fresh from the espresso machine. Eyeballing a box of Kodiak mix we picked up this week. I cant believe I paid 4.49 for a box of waffle mix that stuff better rock.

I am dreaming of the Mexican joint I frequent in Taos, "Guadalajara Grill", run by genuine Mexicans.
They always have a bowl of par steamed Jalapenos on a bar with small plates and tongs. There are also sliced lemons and limes. I take some fruit wedges and at least two plump Jalapenos. While waiting for my order to arrive, I take out my sharp pocket knife and slice each Jalapeno length wise. Then I cut off the stem and top. Carefully opening the pepper to lay flat on the plate, I scrape out the seeds and de-vein the Jalapenos. This removes much of the overpowering fire. The cleaned peppers are then sliced into strips about 1/3 of an inch wide and are now ready to be added to my tacos. Sometimes I squeeze lime juice on them and sprinkle with salt. With a fork, I enjoy them as a starter. Then my order arrives and away I go.
In much of New and Old Mexico, peppers like Jalapenos and other chilies, were the principal source of vitamin C in this arid land. So, they were eaten often and in volume. You live here long enough, a taste for them develops and I miss them when not available elsewhere.
