Tried Shepherd's Pie tonight. Did the shepherd mind? I make cottage pie all the time (although I call it shepherd's pie). I've never actually tried shepherd's pie. In fact it was only a few years ago that I realised the difference (that shepherd's pie is made with lamb mince and cottage pie is made with beef mince). |

Went local to do some food shopping and treated myself to Biscuitville.....my big outing of the month👍👍👍
Made fresh.....chicken fried steak biscuit with gravy on the side. It was very good, but $1.00 for a tiny bit of gravy on the side....that’s profit plus a lube job 😜😂😜😂

Indian restaurant tonight. They make this spicy Chili Chicken appetizer. It's fantastic. I also order Lamb Vindaloo. I ask for everything to be so spicy that I regret it. They don't disappoint.

There is a story of why I don't do pasta but I won't bore you with that, I also don't do tuna casserole for the same reasons. I usually tell people that the carb count and sugar in the sauce isn't very good for diabetics I love tuna casserole. Nobody else in my house does though. I love Tuna Noodle casserole. I was going to make a Tuna sauce on pasta tonight until some Buzzkill here reminded me that pasta is bad for pre-Diabetics. Rats! I have some Asian non-pasta noodles which just are not the same. I so love noodles and Italian style kinds of pasta. |

3 lengua tacos with onion cilantro fresh squeezed lime juice and a verde style tomatillo and jalapeno sauce. Bottled coke to wash it down and horchata afterwards all from the local taqueria. Man I love that place I could eat there 5 days a week, you'd have to roll me out of there after week 3 but I'd be happy. This area of Michigan has a large hispanic population and some of the best Mexican food I've ever tasted. Sounds like you had it exactly right. I had that just the other day. Toss up between Lengua and Barbacoa. Both make great Tacos. Washed mine down with Jamaica (Hibiscus flower punch, cooked and sweetened with sugar). I am just a fool for Tacos. Fortunately, we have an endless number of purveyors of the Taco here in northern NM. They are so popular and present that our Air Guard unit is called "The Taco Guard" by the rest of the USAF. |

Living on the verge of Diabetes means not eating the foods I love. Yesterday, I enjoyed onion rings with a burger. That ought to be it for a while. I should have skipped that and focused only on the burger. The bun had enough carbs for the day. The prospect of life without Fries saddens me but not as much as Diabetes. So, now I am examining the feasibility of a Tuna cabbage concoction- Tuna Sauce on a bed of steamed cabbage. Sounds challenging and not sure if that will work. |
