Belated happy birthday, toshtego . I had a 5 guys burger for lunch today. It was good, but not worth the money. I only went because I heard they had a good veggie burger that my wife might appreciate. 1 cheeseburger 1 veggie burger 1 regular fries 2 regular drinks £22.50 (just shy of $30) Never again. Paddy, was this considered a light lunch for you.....lol. That’s 3 meals for me👍 ...lol... I only eat one meal a day and rarely "snack"... works for me... |

After the Five Guys for lunch I had a home made hotdog and the left overs from my daughter's chicken fried rice from last night. It was a big portion - filled the plate.

Because of the rain, we ate 2 meals at the Mexican restaurant next to the motel in Ville Platte. The food was excellent and the portions were huge. We both ordered Carne Asada and it completely covered the large oval platter. We have enough for another meal in the refrigerator.

Stopped in Sulfur La. on the way home last night and I had the best frog legs I have had in years. They had to be a foot long.

Just made some Chinese style pork chops with rice and sweetcorn. Nothing special, but they taste good.
They're in a Chinese style sauce made by the butchers. Hard to beat. I had to have 2.

Recovering from my Indian lunch of chili chicken, and chettina curry. I brought in Carolina Reapers and Scotch Bonnets to be added to my dishes. It was fantastic, but my gut is protesting (and protruding).

Celebrating my 67th birthday, I drove into town to have lunch at a nice place. It being October, German inspired dishes.
Goulash Zuppa,
Jaeger Schnitzel mit spaetzle, rotkohl, und sauerkraut, a nice Spatlesse Reisling, Tiramisu for desert.
Alles im guten alten stil!

We had 3 different bread puddings from Louisiana restaurants this week. All were excellent and none had raisins. I personally don't have a problem with raisins, but I will never eat a Zero bar again. |
