Went back to Indian for lunch. Gave him ghost peppers this time. Not quite as apocalyptic as yesterday, but good heat and flavor, nonetheless. My interest in preparing a Curry is growing. Sadly, I have to make my own. Why we cannot get Indians, Pakistanis or Kashmiris to move here is beyond me. We have plenty of Tibetans, Bhutanese, Nepalese, and Sikkimese here as the Dali Lama likes northern New Mexico and many Stupas have been built with monks present to teach the Dharma Way. We have several Chinese and Sushi restaurants. No Indians means no authentic curries, vindaloos and such. The nearest is in Santa Fe. THEY have two Indian restaurants, Bless their pea-picking hearts. Postscript: Oh yeah, I always add raisins to my curries. This LOOKS close to what I get. I'm gonna try to make it myself. You might need to order some stuff off Amazon, like the curry leaves. www.relishthebite.com/sunday-lamb-chettinadu-curry/

Just finished an Arbyโs Reuben sandwich .....had a two for $6.00 coupon......the best $3.00 master select sandwich Iโve had in years. Arbyโs is NOT fast food anymore.....itโs real GOOD quality food ๐๐๐๐๐ You're right Ted, had Arby's lamb gyros from Tallahassee to Kentucky and back. The Reuben's are just as good and the place we stopped in in Ga. was just as nice a bunch of people as you would want to meet. Noticed a lot of older people manning the kitchen and front counter as well. They genuinely seemed like they enjoyed being there and serving people. Try that in Miami...not a chance. Just finished my usual of Roast beef and Pastrami on dark pumpernickel bread...honey mustard as a condiment with fresh pickles that I made up in Kentucky. Fresh chips, of course and Blackberry/Cran juice for a drink. Love the 2 for $6.00 deal at Arbys. Ted you are right...they are no longer just fast food...they are good food. Dang blast it! Now I HAVE to drive the 120 mile round trip to Alamosa CO and the nearest Arby's. Might have to bring either the Gyro or the Reuben home with me after eating the other there.

NOPE.....if your driving 120 miles you need to bring home a few lamb gyroโs with a side of a few corned beef Reuben sandwiches......lol. Eat one of each while at Arbyโs or the drive home๐๐๐

I got her stuck on stinky cheeses and she's turning downright Euro

I got her stuck on stinky cheeses and she's turning downright Euro my good buddy's ex wife was Vietnamese. She made OUTSTANDING pho. We also used to get together and "roll" for dinner (massive amount of pork, and/or duck, and/or shrimp summer rolls). I miss living next to NYC. Upper Mott St. was the best.

That lamb curry recipe looks really good. I might try that with lamb shanks.

I have some Thai Curry paste which I quite like, the Green paste used with coconut milk for Thai style curries.

If you ever get the chance and see Jamaican Curry, give it a try. It's groovy, mahn.

I realized this morning there is a serious Hash Brown Potato deficit in my diet. Will have to do something about that and soon.

Country ham and eggs with homemade biscuits this morning, going to a wedding this afternoon, should be good.. :-) No Hashbrowns?? What about raisins? Getting ready to whip up a batch of Buttermilk Biscuits. My B-Milk ought to be good and "ripe" by now. Sorry, fresh out of raisins. When at the Wedding reception with the toasts and speeches, when someone gets to the part how "Married men live longer". The reply from the audience is "It only SEEMS longer".

Morning Paddy...Tell us how it worked out last night...Food...ugh...not yet. Gotta let the meds work before I start eating. Yeah, not good for the stomach, but if I eat right away the pain meds take longer to work...and right now I NEED some relief. No yard work today, can barely move let alone work.
