As of now, I will likely skip the big meal. Made a little soup and forced myself to eat it. I am consuming around 500 to 600 calories per day. That could change if I start feeling better. The idea of a greasy, starchy Thanksgiving meal makes me queasy. I am invited to a neighbor's house on Thursday and will attend as it is rare to be invited to anything here and I cannot afford to say "No". LOL. Might not eat much. Nice to be with other people, though. No pipe smoking, alas. Eat some plain turkey with no gravy, a small amount of potatoes and stuffing. Stay clear of anything greasy. Seems the food poisoning is playing havoc with your intestinal track. FEEL BETTER!!! We will see. None of it is appetizing. I should stick to vegetables. Starchy potatoes and stuffing have zero appeal, nor does turkey.

Earlier I purchased some smoked thigh turkey meat. Now making some dough that will be stuffed with dark meat turkey, cranberry sauce and crushed pineapple and stuffing. Baked in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes. Wanted something different for breakfast today. Miss my Mom!!!

Some friends said they would like to eat Thanksgiving dinner with us.They told my wife they would bring food if she would cook it.Today we all had a traditional dinner with one extra item.I'm suppose to watch my sugar intake but I couldn't pass up a piece of chocolate cream pie.I hope all of you had a good day with plenty to eat.

That sounds like a nice neighborly exchange and entirely in the spirit of the holiday.

Simmered the turkey carcass with onions (skins and all), carrots. celery and leaves, garlic, a jalapeño...strainer all of that out after an hour and half and added egg noodles to the broth. Really excellent dinner rolls on the side.
Pretty tasty, I helped an older lady down the street come home from the hospital, and fixed her dinner... it really knocked her socks off.

Slice of dry toast. Coffee.
Soon there will be Low Sodium V-8 Juice with psyllium husks. Mmm, good!

Putting together some items that you think may work well together, adjusting a bit here and there, and you come up with something that "you" enjoy

Yeeaaahhhhhhhhh baby! Psyllium husk!! Mixing it with V-8 Juice and a little Tapatio creates the impression of a meal rather than a "chore".
