Morning all. Just loaded some OJK mixture in a Scottie. Good strong cup of coffee on the side. Let the games begin. Nothing like shoving 5 days of work into 3. And people get excited for Holiday weeks.... So you can just imagine how happy I am to not be working this year. The last 25 years of IT work, and the last 18 with a payroll company. Holidays and end of the year madness combined to make the middle of November through the end of January a living hell. I am loving it this year. And to top it all off I still get to go to the company Christmas party! The first few years I was at home I got a little cabin fever. Now I relax and count my blessings that I am warm. It's a great feeling, Ron. Enjoy. I had some Sail Yellow in a Orange DrG Viscount Canted Bulldoggie with bites out of the bowl. Total beater. My first smoke of Sail Yellow. Xuan got mad. Put it out. Will go back to something she didn't complain about later... after I get done putting rubbing alcohol on the bruises

Started out the day with some SG 1792 flake in a Lane era Charatan. Definitely a "Full Bodied Smoke" for this rookie. Had to set it down about 1/3 of the way through and move onto something a little more tame.
Moved onto Balkan Sobranie in a GBD Bent Bulldog while I was finishin up the refurb on my 52 Dunnie.
Then it was on to some Black House in nice sand blast straight bulldog.
Circled back to the 1792, it was a little more tolerable, but still pretty stout.
Now I'm enjoying a nice bowl of Full Syrian Balkan in a bent Calabresi bent Freehand (or Danish, not sure).

After spending the last 10 days hunting the elusive and rare U.P. whitetail I'm finally home where all the tasty stuff reside and smoking an inaugural bowl in the RM Perkins "Ballerina" a gorgeous crosscut take on a sitting dublin with a cherry wood look. Birdseye all over the place and 3d lines male this pipe a stunner. Pictures really don't do this pipe justice. Happy to be home where the deer are plentiful and the weather isn't crazy because of two snow machine lakes.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Sam Gawith Medium Virginia Flake in a 2014 Savinelli Gaius smooth brown slight bend black acrylic stem and ferrule 320KS author. This will finish my open stash (the rest is aging), and I'm thinking about what straight Va. to replace it in my rotation.

Well, I have had my stitches (taken) out for a number of days now, but am waiting for the swelling in my lower lip to go down before I smoke. It is getting better day by day. Once all the dissolving stitches are gone in my lower and upper lips, my swelling will go down quicker. The stitches in my lower lip may be just about gone, my upper lip not so much. I hope it won't be much longer, however.
(This sucks, by the way).
