One of my last two orders was supposed to arrive today by Suck Post. It is now arriving Tuesday. WTF is wrong with Monday? Damned thing was only 12 ounces and it could have made it here first class in three days. They would have even made a couple bucks on the shipping. Used to Be Federal Express then UPS then USPS. Now it's USPS UPS (distant second) and totally lost FedEx What really sucks is when they ship it “sure post” which is what I believe they call it... that is ups ground across the country, and then they hand it off to USPS at the end. I received a bunch of pretty dented tins of Peterson’s Irish Flake... 10 out of 10 were dented. It appears they were either dented before they got to P&C, or while in their possession, but that is the way they shipped. I recently received a dented tin of RO Acadian Va/Per. This tin cost $20. I sent P&C an email with pictures and they immediately replaced it and told me to keep the dented tin. I can't say enough good things about their customer service.

Actually, my Peterson tins came from SP ( Smashed Packaging) I did get half of my Golden Triangle / Russ O’s Perique 11 and 23 tobacco’s... all 9 tins were dented up also, and the packing slip did not match the contents..... I sent them an itemized list of what I got and listed what the packing slip said an let them know about the dented tins... we will see what happens.

Some of the prices went up. I was checking D&R, which was 2$/pound cheaper than SP. Now SP is 2$ cheaper. Some of their house varieties, like Brigadier Black and Ole Shenandoah, went up as well. Probably means they do intend on staying in business, but I think you'll get less good prices to stack with sales.

On a side note, how are the Golden Triangle blends? I understand Russ used the same base in all 4 versus the Perique Flakes'. I've been smoking GP-11 regularly. It's one of my favorite Va/Pers.

I don't have a clue and I won't until the rest of the shipment comes in...once it is all here then I will inventory it and make sure I got it all.

I don't care about P&C's cash flow or their projected profit margins. If Dunhill tins are $7.50, I'm going to buy enough of them to pave my driveway. Right now SPC and H&H tins are B2G1 and Captain Black 14oz cans come with $20 P&C cash(Per can!). Not to mention those CB cans are already priced $2.50 less than SmokingPipes. Smoking Pipes may have more stable inventory and I really like their setup as far as buying pipes, but they rarely have a baccy deal that grabs my attention.

I got my order from P&C, Where I had ordered a couple batches of the 5 tin special, stacked with codes, it was a great opportunity to buy quite a few blends that are normally expensive. I got my order, and it was all screwed up, I got the right amount of tins, but not in the proper quantities of each. They have me too much of the rare Perique which is normally $25 for 1.75 Oz. www.pipesandcigars.com/mobile/p/golden-triangle-collection-pipe-tobacco/1509237/#p-2001227I contacted them and gave them an itemization of what I received versus the packing slip... to make it right, they told me to keep the extra Perique, and if I spent $25, they would send priority 5 tins more of tobacco to even out what I should have gotten. Great deal!
