...earlier...HOW Country Doctor...now, HOW Barking Dog in a RD Pipe Drip Author...
It looks like you have a greatest hits of Ron selection. That's so beautiful I would pay double what my personal limit on pipes is. I've only been a member here since July or so, and most of his later pipes are bulldoggies. beautiful, but nothing like this

Went to Charlotte this afternoon to pick up my son Seth from the airport. I left early and had dinner with a good friend. After dinner we had a couple of hours to kill before I had to be at the airport so we went to the new JR Cigars & Bar in Mooresville. Just so happened that it was their first inaugural "Whiskey Wednesday". The Jack Daniels folks were there with free samples of 4 of their offerings. Being a creature of habit, I walked into the humidor, purchased an Arturo Fuente 858, grabbed some Jack Daniels Rye and planted myself in one of the comfy leather club chairs.

All the earlier talk of Peretti No. 8 Slice (and the facet I received another pound of it in the mail today) has made me want to smoke some. So, after the 11:00P.M. news I am going to smoke some Peretti No. 8 Slice in the Butz Choquin Arabesque 1772 pipe with a pint of Revision IPA along side.

Frog Morton and another cup of tea. I bought some Lapsang tea because it sounded like the Latakia of teas- Turns out it is the 'undrinkable, burned-plastic, trash bag of teas' So... you're point is....? Not the latakia of teas? It could still be... depending on how one regards the virtues of latakia. Anyhoo, Sutliff Blue Danube reaches its place in the rotation launching pad, in the Savinelli Trevi 320 ks author shape. Countdown begins. Very nice Sav. 320 has to be one of their most popular offerings; however, I don't believe its ever been put forth as a Collection or POY? I totally dig these, have never pulled the trigger but may get weak next time the unfinished line is on sale. 33F, sunny and heading into the upper 50s this morning. Starting out with Uhle's 00 in an MM Dane Spool, hot black coffee and getting ready for a two mile walk and a little Bowflex time this morning.

I deduced the blend I picked up at my local brick and mortar is in fact HGL. The majority if not all of their Blends are from Lane Limited, so a delicious aromatic with a kiss of Latakia which BTW is my most pleasurable new to me Tobacco. Guess I'll have to see if I'm correct on my next smokingpipes order. Started the day with HGL in a Savinelli Giubileo D'Oro apple 2004 with a gallon of coffee, make that 2 gallons of coffee. Great day all!!
