Relaxing after a wonderful pot roast dinner with a bowl of Director’s Cut in a smooth straight late ‘50s, early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad, too! My second Conrad pipe. Watching The Westerner starring Brain Keith, a great, forgotten short lived TV Western.

' Speraaa from Greece, quite night here in Athens. I am watching the movie [which basically was a massacre of innocent civilians from 1-76 years old] news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5033648.stmwhile smoking Jock Scott Creamy Malt in a Corn Cob, cool water beside me. Well, Sid, we weren't there. Fog of War? I am afraid of what I might do under those circumstances with my Viking and Comanche heritage.

Today I thought I would start off with a nice English blend. Not wanting a heavy lat to encumber my taste buds,I chose Pipes&Wilke #524. An Aro-English. I'm guessing that with the colder weather, windows being sealed and pumping humidity into the air to aid with heating. The room note was somewhat harsher than I figured on.I got in a bit of trouble and had to switch to more acceptable blends for the remainder of my day.
So a couple bowls of LL Dark Red in my new Stanwell pipes followed by three bowls of PS Lux Navy Flake in my Dunhill canted dublin.

I had a bowl of 5 Bros. in the MM Ozark Maple earlier.
There was only a little bit of American Heritage left in the jar, so I decided to mix it. D&R Ramback Gold with a pinch of H&H American Heritage in the MM Diplomat Apple HW with a can of Dr Pepper made with sugar.

Molto Dolce in a new MM County Gentleman. Tasted different, turned out to be a piece of paper stuck in the stem! Watching the pilot for "Then Came Bronson", followed by the first episode. It isn't often that something stands up to my memories. Pusser's rum with eggnog on the side.

I'm curious to know how you like it after all these years.
