Sutliff: Great Outdoors in a smooth BorkumRiff Walnut Billiard. Coffee refill.
* I never said anything about viewing, reading or the friendly banter that is a WAYS tradition. I commented on a Video. If you want to use that thin excuse to disparage me, pile on . . I can take it.

I didn't realize (meaning I didn't consider it till you brought it up) that trying to get past the videos on a mobile device could be a problem. Same with large images, but those are usually germane to the smoking part.

For the record, a little banter is good and it's healthy to the esprit de corps of this forum and this thread. It only gets to be a problem for some when it takes up tons of space, and does some thread hijacking, which was happening to some extent with the wrestling posts. We as a community become closer knit with some back and forth, and many of us have made many friends because of it. I'm not changing that, and I suggest we do not. That's why we start threads for individual subjects. Almost finished smoking Wilke Surbrug’s Crystal Palace in a full bend black pebble finish 2001 Rinaldo Lithos YY8 Titania Silver Line egg with a black acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink. Phone chatting with our resident rain maker who brought us a little mist today. If only the Mist had been Canadian!!!

I disagree. I've been here since there were six of us talking to each other. Nothing wrong with a little personal content about the day added to a post. JimInks ? I agree wholeheartedly! One of the reasons I left another pipe smokers forum was because there were too many self-important individuals trolling other peoples posts to either criticize what they were smoking or to make fun of their way of life somehow. I think of a ways area of a smoking forum is like sitting around in someones garage sharing comments on tobaccos and pipes or cigars or if its a nice day or not. The area lends to the ease of casual comments that a bunch of friends sharing the same likes or dislikes of the hobby. I was happy to see that I might have found such a place to feel at home with. I hope I'm not wrong! There isn't a thing wrong with sharing something other than tobacco with a bunch of people you are enjoying being around and not having to worry about what some person thinks of what you said. Of course there are other places for off topic talks and ideas to be presented but this is a great place to be sharing...like talking to a neighbor across the fence next door, sitting on the porch or in someones garage, having a smoke.

And yet more EGR, this time in the Savinelli Tortuga 804ks canadian. I try to avoid getting into a rut with a tobacco blend but EGR is my Achilles Heel in that regard.

I think some banter is good and an easy way to keep up with people, but sometimes it deserves to be it's own thread to help build up forum content. When it temporarily turns into a burst of banter only posts, yeah, that makes it take longer to catch up in the thread. My solution is if I haven't had time to read thread in a day or to is to simply skip the 5 or 6 pages of unread posts and jump forward to the last page. I don't care so much about the banter posts, personally, I'd prefer to see people move away from habitually hitting "like" on every single WAYS post and just hit "like" on the really good posts. It would keep the noise down in notification streams and make notifications easier to use. However, here is a simple suggestion... For March, let's try and stay away from the banter only posts. If you're going to post banter, you should also include a smoke in the post. Following my own idea... 2006 C&D Yorktown in my 1960s Dunhill Root Briar group 1 Billiard.

Wow! After reading the last 3 pages, I just may pour myself 2 fingers of Booker's Bourbon (after dinner that is) Happy Birthday crapgame and hoping you're enjoying your day brother! Broke out the Peterson's Irish Oak this afternoon, and enjoyed this blend in the Castello Sea Rock Briar. The Irish Oak is such a nice smoking blend. Yum!

'07 McClelland Katerini Classic in an MM Legend Rob Roy. In the spirit of recent posts, I gotta ask, does the delicate katerini come thru the cornbread? I'm smoking Engine 99 in my cuspidor stack, a little Jägermeister on the side.
