I could contribute in many ways here, but I'll refrain. However, I HAVE been on a quest to find the best non-alcoholic beer (an oxymoron, perhaps)... For me the hand's-down winner is Erdinger Alcohol Frei. But if anyone has tried others, I'd been keen to hear, cos I've not tried them all. If you haven't tried it and get the chance, San Miguel 0,0% is worth trying in this category. It doesn't have the usual weird sweetness (for what it's worth British ginger beer tends to be too sweet for me) that a lot of alcohol free beers have. Personally between drinking malta (malt beverage) or non-alcocholic beer, I prefer malta every time. Cheers for that. I've actually tried San Miguel. It's not too bad. As for Malta...I've never heard of that. Must check it out. |

I think that the best Scottish Ale that I have tasted is 4 Peaks Kilt Lifter. As for other foods, and beverages, generally speaking Costco has an unbeatable track record on quality and value on a whole host of products. The shelf life of fresh produce far exceeds other grocers. Give GoodLife Scottish Heart a try. It's the best I've had. |

Cola: Coca-Cola, the real thing.
Root Beer: Henry Weinhard's
Beer: Fat Tire, a Belgian style amber ale by New Belgium Brewing Company in Ft Collins, Colorado.
Scotch: Glenlivet.
Bread: San Francisco Sour Dough. Doesn't taste as good made anywhere else.
Seafood: Captain Kidd's Fish Market & Restaurant, Redondo Beach, CA.
Steak: Santa Maria Barbeque at Jocko's Steakhouse, Nipomo, CA.
Mexican Food: Best in the world is in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Unbelievable.
Buffalo Wings: Frankie's Wings in Cape Canaveral, FL. Destroyed in a hurricane, but there's still one in Melbourne, FL.
Hot Dogs: Polish with sour kraut, onions, and jalapenos. My favorite anti-social lunch. Sam's Club.
Mayonnaise: None, has to be Miracle Whip.
Peanut Butter: Peter Pan.
Ice Cream: Cold Stone Creamery's Lemon Custard.
Dessert: Crème Brûlée (Burnt Cream).

I've tried making it at home but the either due to the height of Mexico City or my own incompetence it comes out terrible. |
