Mixture 79 was the worst for me. Tasted like a combo of soap and cheap perfume. One reviewer on TR stated the following:
"If you were ever curious enough to wonder what it would be like to smoke a urinal cake, here you

I'm not a fan of these threads. What SUX to somebody may be a favorite to another? Good example, Sam Gawith 1792 was horrible to my pallet, couldn't get through a tin, but others like it; consequently, I'm hesitant to cut on it. I just don't see the point to these threads.

Velvet was bad.(for me) The chemical casing made it impossible to smoke. If I were to name a premium baccy- Tsuge: Raijin. So bad. Just a bowl full of harsh, bitey, stinky, flavourless nicotine.

When I subscribed to P&C’s Pipe Tobacco of The Month Club, one month featured, was a blend by Russ O’ that was a mint flavored cocoa tobacco... “Candy Cane Cocoa”.
My mouth was mint ghosted for at least 24 hours, the pipe longer than that. One bowl missing from that jar in the cellar.... that one was a real stinker. Hell of a mason Jar note though.

Maybe you should start your own forum, that way you can shut down any discussion that offends you. You see like you would make Woody seem like a lightweight. I couldn't get through a second bowl of 1792,or one of M79. But then others love these two blends. This is about what's worst to you.

I liked CCC so much that I bought a pound. Sometimes when it's really hot it's all I can smoke. Good for the sinuses too😎

To my palate, the worst blend was Russ' Yule Log until I mixed it with Kentucky Club which was even worse. It takes a braver man than I to enjoy Kentucky Log (Yule Club?).

Rum Twist was a bit of a shock, but I am planning to give it another chance as my taste buds have matured. Some days OJK seems like a light blend to me. Still can't handle the Lakelands, but I can see their quality.

Good on him. Sorry about your luck. As for me, I'm good. Haters gotta hate. I get it. Carry on.

You've called out two people tonight, one being me. I don't get it. I post a tech post, someone responds with a semi-nude and I don't bitch. If you're going to talk about past hosts, current hosts are not off subject, if they are in comparison. Calling people haters seems out of line because we 1) decide we want to compare Fallon to Carson 2) We decide to post which tobaccos we don't like. I really wanted to stay out of this after your rebuke in the other thread, but I cannot. If we have a post about which tobaccos WE DO like, then by default we are criticizing others, if you want to take it to that extreme. Now the thread will probably be locked up, which I didn't want to see happen. I'm glad you're good, though.

PS - If the thread does get locked, and I do understand it, we need to have some discussion about things like wandering off topic. That's half the fun sometimes. That thread I mentioned, people did respond to my OP bringing the subject back around. I'm old and broken down. Not complaining, but I don't really care to see sexy pics. It's not my thing anymore. But I will not chastise someone for being risque. I am risque when I post some of my humor. It's called tolerance. I'm done now. Not out. Just done

Completely rational people disagree at times; unfortunately, this appears to be one of those times. Perhaps we should walk this back, take a break and allow things to cool a bit?

Fine, but at some point there needs to be a discussion about how far a topic should go off. I mean, I have been shaking my head for hours not "getting" it. But I will take a break from this and hope we can get some guidance... and discussion

This room is a lot of fun for me. I don't mind admitting it helps me pass some of my days. I am a class clown in real life and here. It's just me.

Yes, I think I just posted on McB Plumcake the other night. Xuan was not fond of it. I'll simply say I don't get it, which may change in the future

I'm allergic to Tonka bean (sp?) or whatever it is that they put in Condor. It made me physically ill, deranged my tastebuds for tobacco and food and drink for days. There are those who like it whom I guess are simply not allergic to that ingredient. So I'm not inveighing or finding fault by default on those who like it. I'm just allergic to it. So we agree to have different body chemistry.
Oh, and btw, M79 smells like arse and regret.

Good point on the first paragraph. As to 79 I didn't like it in the Seventies. I didn't like many back then. I wanted mild everything. I like it now as a novelty tobacco and for that it is good. I like Velvet for the tin note, best around, but it is harsher smokage.

C&D Pegasus comes to mind. Really wanted to like Bagpiper's Dream, but it gave me a headache every time and the flavors just seemed weird.

The worst tobacco I ever had was some Consolidated Cigar Co. (CCC) "Ready Rubbed" that I bought from Little Brown. This stuff was very fine in cut; like a cube cut but little chunks that flowed into the bowl like rice. It gives an almost instantaneous tongue bite upon lighting and is almost impossible to smoke. I wouldn't even try to cut this into a blend because it would ruin the blend.

can't separate among......NonPlusUltra, #79, MiddletonCherry, probably forgot some other "forgetables". A strange one yrs ago...Dunnie Royal Yuck. Fresh outa the can...serious mouth burn. Advised by friend to get 'bout 5yrs age on it. did so. Later, no latakia but quite a mellow experience overall.

There are plenty of blends I don't care for that other people love, and vice versa. It's supposed to have cognac, but I don't get that. To me the quintessential cognac blend is Pembroke.

I hate to say it, but it’s Gallahers Rich Dark Honeydew. It had a spice-ish topping that I just could not abide. The latest iterations are similar, so I’ll count them as well.
