...Robert Johnson, "The Complete Collection"... I bought that on CD when if first came out. I haven't listened to it in years. I remember not liking the way that they would have different versions of the same song back to back. I guess I wasn't smart enough to set it to shuffle...

I prefer listening to the two King of the Delta Blues albums from the 60s. I'm not a fan of alternate versions of songs by the same singer.

Listened to The Beatles Mini-LP Mobile Fidelity mastered CD of The White Album first, followed by this (for the first time, although I've owned it since last July): If you have not heard Bowie's last album. Buy it an listen to it as it is absolutely stellar! Very highly recommended!

"Alexa, play the album, 'Raising Sand,' by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss." Cool. It's one of those "mood" albums. Bluesy, blue-grassy, rockabilly in nature. The recording is excellent in sound quality and the bass slam will make your walls rattle and windows shake on some of the songs.

So far it's mellow, and chilling me out as I get my girls ready for school.

So far it's mellow, and chilling me out as I get my girls ready for school. Overall, it's a mellow album. There are some that are slow, but intense (i.e. Nuthin'). There are also a few that are upbeat and "rockabilly" (i.e. Let your loss be your lesson). The last song is one of my favorites. It brings me to tears every time I hear it. I also really, really like "Stick with me baby".

I am currently streaming Pandora in my usual eclectic mode which ranges from OLD jazz to top 40. Observations to be made today, not enough Ragtime being played out in the world.
