The Beatles Rubber Soul Album smoking some smooth chocolate flake. Which one? The U.K. version , or the US version? Mono or Stereo?

I prefer the full album if only because I trust the producer.

Sometimes I want to "get" his concept album Just listened to A Question Of Balance last Thursday. Yet another band that should have been in the R&R Hall of Fame about 20+ years ago. It's absolutely ridiculous they are still not in.

"Metamodern Sounds in Country Music" by Sturgill Simpson. One of my modern favorites.

Watson & Edge - I saw these guys perform on the Boulder Mall when I was in college and bought a CD from them on the spot. I got on their mailing list and bought several others over the years. Their Christmas CD gets the most play over any other Christmas music during the holidays.

This record as well as the Christmas album.

Camille Saint Saens- Carnival de Animaux
When the last record (Watson&Edge) ended, I couldn't bear the absence of violin in the room, so I went to an old favourite.
No blame on my parents or my humble roots in life, but IF I have a kid... Violin or cello lessons are in their future.

My youngest daughter plays the violin and guitar.

I prefer the full album if only because I trust the producer. Yea well unfortunately I think the said producer would have played a part in shelving this and other Brooks' recordings. But it is and was a business and he maybe lacked the star quality of say a Freddie Hubbard. Great listen, Van Gelder is often criticized for the piano sound but to me it doesn't seem to be the case on this one.

Hehe, I've no idea if that would have been the fault of the producer or the label executive but you're right that Brooks didn't seem to get the recognition he deserved back then.
