Can anyone recommend an alternative for 110 Just Plain Nuts? I'd use it as a light aromatic blending burley. Sutliff J4 Burley is a VG blender. It was formerly called J4 Mild Burley. I think they dropped Mild to increase sales, but nonetheless, it is mild. I've used it several times with good results. Is it nutty? |

I checked TR out of curiosity, and one person says the same. Another writes, "very similar to McClelland's Mellow Mack if not one in the same" - though that's not going to help much! |

Quite a few think that Shortcut to Mushrooms has actual mushrooms in it. Speaking of which, I just realized that all the Frogs will be going away!  They're some of the best latakia-aros, and IMHO STM is a poor substitute. FM is a good example of McC's uniqueness, and to mind mind are pretty irreplaceable. |

Thank you for the heads-up, Mark. I read this post a few minutes after you first posted it and immediately placed some orders across multiple sites. A real bummer. I like everything I have had from them.
McClelland and Dunhill in the same year... Grim tidings for the future of the hobby.

I'm guessing what's at the retailers is not the end of it, and that there could be some more coming McC's warehouse. The Syrian blends trickled out for a while here and there, even after being discontinued. Fingers crossed, anyway. I would have stocked up at P&C for ISPD but they hardly had anything.
