I’m not really sure how this thread works, but I’ll share what I’m doing now. My son is off from school this week because of Easter/Passover break. I took him to ‘GameStop’ and bought him a Wi game. Now we’re at the park and he’s happy, and that makes me happy. The time goes so fast. He’s almost eight and a half. I remember when he fit into my hand. It goes so fast. He’s a blessing. I figure this is a 'what are you doing' thread, as opposed to 'what are you smoking'. It might include that but it doesn't have to.

My friends and I used to think about suing Seinfeld over his TV Show about nothing, which we were always discussing years prior to that show. I just view similar to LL in that it's about everything, but which could be nothing to anyone else. It's something to the writer, and that is the sum of its initial worth.
Saw a Catholic Priest get a big hand for asking Dawkins to explain why he took so much time describing "Nothing".
So, if you're doing squat you are doing nothing. Or are you "not" doing squat? Typical Crapola vs Crappolla argument.

Butternut Burley in my Saint Nick Author
Caught up on Krypton. Makes me wonder if they allowed all that language when originally broadcast. My language isn't so flowery, but watching people use SH** and giving people the finger in the 21st Century a little childish.

It is sold out at SP, but P&C has some. It's a small batch so it's life expectancy is iffy.
Thank you, both! I scored a few tins from P&C.
you're very welcome! it is great

Watching eppies of Star Trek Discovery. It's not a bad show. Better than many. I am waiting for scifi to get back to futures without all the distopia.
Put some Butternut Burley in Old Stank Hole today (see below). Seems to be back to normal. Lit up some Fruit Salad my new cobbit. A work in progress. In the same cobbit I lit some SV English. Was fine, but may do a thread asking about cob cleaning. One guy on YouTube says he doesn't clean the bowl at all. Hard to see how he avoids ash taste.
Old Stank Hole is my Unfinished Sav Bent Billiard that must have had some Bob's Chocolate Vietnamese Pig-Tailed Macaque Poo in it. I cleaned it out several times, but everything tasted burnt. The actual outside of the pipe had the same odor as the chamber. Several washings with Green Alcohol and it is no longer Old Stank Hole. It is now Pipe That Used to Smell Baboon Butt

i think i may be living in bed for awhile.... arriving home from what ended up as a seven hour trip from TAPS, we were pulling into our driveway a little after 9pm and saw someone bent over in our backyard. Hubby put the car in neutral, thought he set the parking brake, and jumped out of the car yelling at the individual. I then realized the car was rolling backward. I reached my left leg over the console and tried to depress the brake, but couldn't find it. The car was starting to pick up speed and I'm headed for the road, so I had to drag the rest of my body over the console, depress the clutch and finally found the brake. Once I had the car stopped I set the parking brake, and jumped out of the car, shaking. But in that bit of acrobatics I pulled my hip and it HURTS when I put weight on it. I've taken ibuprofen and I'm just going to try not to move couple of days. OUCH. I showed hubby where it hurts so he could rub icy hot into it (he seemed to enjoy that a little too much) and he said it was my sciatic. *sigh* He feels bad, though, so I should get fussed over for a couple of days, lol!

thank you, it is appreciated! of course, this means a little more to an American because most people wouldn't have a clue what to do in that situation since very few people know how to drive manual transmissions any more. ugh. my dad (and hubby) prefer them, so I learned in college and it has come in very handy!

Sounds like a tense few moments Margaret, glad you got the car stopped, hope you heal up soon.
I parked my 18 wheeler the other day, but I got out of my normal routine as a consignee started talking to me before I parked, got out and talked to him with my back to the truck.... he said, “your truck just rolled back 10 feet!” Fortunately I was on fairly level ground.
Even after 38 years complacency can bite you... at least in your husbands case he thought there was potential trouble...no excuse for me.

Thankfully most of our cars are manual transmission.

So what was the guy doing in your backyard Margaret?
Everyone knew you would be out of town, was it a pipe smoker trying to do a cellar raid?

well, good question. it was a woman and we think she may have been stoned because she wasn't acting normal. she didn't even react to us coming into the driveway, and simply turned when hubby yelled, not startled at all. she was picking up the paving stones in our old patio area, told hubby she was building a koi pond and needed them. interesting experience all the way around.
quite a few years ago when my grandfather passed away my brother, his girlfriend, me and hubby were in the limo waiting to go to the cemetery. the owner of the funeral home drives the limo. they were ready to pull out when he remembered something he had to tell the hearse driver. he jumps out of the limo and runs across the yard. the limo was in gear and started rolling forward. my brother jumped out, ran to the driver's side (the door was open) slid in and hit the brake and shifted it to park. we gave the guy a hard time about that. we know him well, he's handled all our relatives, lol. but it happens to everyone at some point I guess.

Okay, Chroniclers! I forget this guy's name (which happens to be Guy) all the time, but I never forget the impressions. I have never seen a Bogie or Gary Cooper done so well. He's got Cooper's pause between words down to an art. Robert Mitchum comes in. It starts out with the fictitious Chief Pink Cloud, so it is totally Non-PC from the Dean Martin Show. Watch when he is doing Bogie and his head turns to the side. It's about as perfect as you can get

Smoking a Fruit Salad Mixed with Heine's Blend in my pipe, aptly named for Heine's ... Pipe that used to smell like Baboon's arse.

Smoking a Fruit Salad Mixed with Heine's Blend in my pipe, aptly named for Heine's ... Pipe that used to smell like Baboon's arse. Thinking about watching the Porky's Trilogy after a fine meal of chicken and rice I can't see Revenge of the Nerds or Porky's without thinking about how many crimes they're all committing! The penal code really takes the fun out of sex comedies. Hehe. I was hanging out with my new roomate elucidating him about pipe smoking (he seems receptive to it) before being called to emergency babysit for a couple of hours. Apparently my sister caught my nephew's stomach virus. My nephew was starting to improve and was kind enough to give me some of his cereal. I've had way too much sugar today. The girl I've kind of settled on dating had her work trip this week cancelled which means that my week's plans are shot. So good things all around I guess.

So, yesterday we had a little more excitement. We were travelling down the road from hubby's work when we come upon an accident at the intersection of the interstate onramp. I can tell it JUST happened because there is still dust in the air. We see a Guardsman running over to the vehicles and we recognize him. I pull over onto the shoulder at the triangle and hubby, being a former firefighter, gets out, assesses the scene and takes charge. One of the cars is smoking so he goes over to check it out and then goes over to check on the driver. She says she is okay so he tells her to get out of the car and goes over to check on the other car and it's passengers. As he is talking to that driver he sees the first lady not getting out of the car and he yells to her to get out of the car NOW, and starts back toward her car so she grabs a few things and gets out. About that time I see a tongue of flame coming out from under the right front of the car. I promptly backed our car up the shoulder farther away from the car that was about to be engulfed in flames. As soon as the lady saw the flames she moved farther away too. In the meantime hubby stayed with the male driver keeping him still and calm until the ambulance arrived. Right before the fire truck got there the right front tire blew (it had caught fire.) So once emergency personnel showed up hubby got back in the car and we were stuck in traffic for awhile. I got to sit there and listen as hubby complained about they were handling the car fire all wrong. *Sigh* After we get out of that mess we go to dinner and I get to listen to him having an AAR with himself and making plans for a portable backboard. Ugh Bad things tend to come in threes, and now that two incidents have happened this week I'm just kind of sitting over here like this:
