Good morning, all. Sorry to hear about the aches and pains, I guess none of us are getting any younger.
Ronv69, my thoughts are with you and the loss of your friend.
Today is the beginning of qualifying races for the season, so it looks to be a simple day (knock on wood). Ill be hanging out at the track watching the trials with Shweetie and available if needed. There are a few simple procedures that will take place when a couple of them come off the track, but all-in-all, I'm hoping for a drama free day.

I worked on Monday so I'm taking today off in lieu of St. Patrick's day holiday.
I find it tough to take days off like this as there's always people to see and work to be done. On the other hand, if I don't I'll burn out and be of no use to anyone.

I have to go to the florist this morning to order flowers for a friend's funeral. The Education Coordinator for our MC was killed in a motorcycle accident last Friday on the was to teach a class on motorcycle safety. A really nice woman and a great friend. I just can't help seeing the irony, but I don't find any humor in it. Karen F. was her name and her family can use your prayers. Tragic irony, indeed. I am sorry to read that. It happens far to often. Sorry you lost a friend especially in such a manner. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Prayers for Karen F...prayers for you too, Ron...hope your day gets better.
Woke up this morning, excited to see where we stand with our raffle for the Patch, saw a number of members have donated for the raffle...makes me feel as though this has all been worthwhile...just my small attempt to bring joy to the Patch. I can only offer some stained cobs and custom tampers...money is more than tight, it is almost non-existent, but if I can help to keep the Patch an on going forum, then I am more than happy to put the effort into it....and thanks to Cramps for his enthusiasm..he is a great friend to all of us here on the Patch.
Have a great day, Patchers, we are putting a smile on Justin's face.

Snow this morning with more coming.
I am supposed to be checking the irrigation system and planning this year's maintenance and deliveries. Hard to do with snow on the ground.

At least you will probably have water in the ditches this year.

It's good to have people like you around who understand. you know this, but my dad was a minister for well over 30 years, and he experienced a couple very tough periods of burnout. That position involves helping people constantly, sometimes to the neglect of everything else in your life. Seriously, don't forget to take time for yourself.

Have some business calls to conduct this afternoon, and then the weekend begins. Planning some pipe cleaning for Saturday, family RPG gaming Saturday night and yard work on Sunday. And a lot of pipe smoking.

Remember, your family and your health comes first. Enjot the day and evening with family ๐

Walked out on porch, wife digging a half dead Crepe Myrtle, Sweating she says I want to plant my Palm here. She says lots of roots, I say let me get my chain and pull it out with truck, she says I've been at it for 2 hrs. Went in barn got chain out, backed Tundra, wrapped Cain around it and pulled it out. She says why didn't you do it sooner, I said you didn't tell me that's what you wanted. Sometimes I think she thinks I'm a mind reader.

Glad this week is over . . . Monday wife informs me I need to do a Costco run. So I hit Costco, it is packed with lots of people and kids. Figure I pick up a hot dog while i'm there and now they use touch screens. I'll get back to that later. So on the way home I get nailed in a speed trap. Good times. Tuesday morning I have a stomach bug . . . remember that touch screen? Yeah, don't do that. Bacteria/virus farm. Back to normal now and talked to a lawyer to handle the ticket today. Viva la weekend! So if I have to order food via touch screen I'm just going to go somewhere else . . . www.foxnews.com/food-drink/mcdonalds-touchscreens-test-positive-for-traces-of-feces-deadly-bacteria

Iโve read plenty about concerns in the fast food industry and those touch screen โ kiosks โ.....Iโd walk out if I had to use a touch screen to place a food order. Touch that screen and I โ garontee โ youโll get ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ all over your fingers!!!
