First, and last, sunburn of the year complete! I got thr house washed and my neighbor said he was working on his himself... his loss. I could have finished the whole thing in an hour and a half. Tilled and raked out the garden again today. Should be ready to plant next week. I burn one time a year and then the rest is smooth sailing. OK, I'm jealous. We got up to 50 today and I finally got the christmas lights down and got the front yard cleaned up. It was a really wet fall and winter and the yard dried enough to walk in it. The back yard is still under water.

Been a rough day for wife and small "baby"...both have "issues" both laying in bed...I've been cleaning up after "baby"...fortunately, I don't have to clean up after wife. Finished some tampers and stained/glazed some country gentleman cobs...getting ready for the raffle to end and send out my small portion of the prizes. Wore out and feeling rough myself, but got to keep it going with both wife and "our little girl" out of commission. Got meds ready for "baby" if she needs it...don't want to jump the gun on her yet. Gonna take a few minutes and try to have a pipe to relax for a bit.

I would love to trade. I prefer the cold. In a few months you'll hear me griping about the heat. South Georgia, along with most of the south east, heat is no joke.

My wife's business partner is in the hospital on IV antibiotics. We had to take him cigarettes. I hated to do that. 30 miles to the hospital in traffic to deliver cigarettes. ππππ©π©π©π© But, we stopped by Pinkerton's Barbecue on the way way home so that fixed everything. Best barbecue I have ever had in Houston. You East coast guys just don't get it. The barbecue sauce is to cover the flavor of bad meat. I had dry rubbed pork ribs and smoked brisket. It would be a crime to put sauce on those. The ribs were crispy on the edges and tender in the middle. The brisket was cut with the fork and melted in my mouth. I want my son to take his vegetarian girlfriend there someday. It will cure or kill her for sure.

We got a BBQ place here keeping the sauce to the side. I myself make mine either with a light dusting of my custom rub or only salt and pepper with pecan wood chunks with about two chunks of mesquite. And now I got that BBQ craving thanks to you.

But Texas just seems to me to have the best in foods in the Mid-West. Burgers that I would kill for to have here in Tally. Outstanding BBQ, and fried chicken at Bill Millers just can't be beat. Thanks for all the well-wishing...very much appreciate it.

This afternoon I got into a little home project which turned into more than I expected,That's the way it seems to go with these things.I have a stool that due to a piss poor design when it was made the legs were always loose. This made it unstable.I drilled some holes and put some bolts through the legs to stabilize them.I'm too old for this crap.

Been a full day. Got to go to church and found out that our pastor will be leaving at the end of May to plant a church. A bummer indeed. Went to Costco after lunch and stocked up on meat. Got home and then got called out for chaplain duty to comfort a family in my fire district dealing with a sudden loss. Happy to be home enjoying a pipe.
