Lunch with our friend Alex what a hoot plenty of laughs around the table. Momma let me follow her around Dillards until we escaped purchase free. Got me a big frosty diet Coke at the corner store.
Hope everyone is having as good a weekend as mine. Beautiful day, clear and and a million, 70 F, got my airplane out and tried to make myself sick, loved it. Flew off to a buddy's airstrip and shot the sheet for a couple hours, back home to dinner, wine and pipe.

Man...that is what I call livin'!
Yessir, I think so. Too bad I had to wait until i was this old to do it. I try to Enjoy it while I got it.
Coffee on the desk puffing a RYO cigarette while looking out the window at the cove. Momma is reading her tablet and Ninja Chihuahua is not yet ready to be pest. Lifestyles of the poor and unknown.

Raining cats and dogs here, Buddy didnโt want any part of outside, should clear somewhat by noon. Smoked a Gurkha Stratus cigar yesterday late afternoon, gift from James, smoothest cigar Iโve smoked yet. Wife is slowly moving around, damn good sign, houseboy is really glad.
Thanks, Ted...that picture of that lil cub was truly precious...Garden of Eden style. He is gonna be a big feller when he grows up.
Morning Patchers! Another beautiful warm morning here in central north Florida...got nothing on schedule for the day except to enjoy a good smoke, pet the lil girl lots and enjoy being retired....got a bunch of tamper blanks made waiting on the pipe nails to be cut and glued in place. Got plenty of rough stock waiting to be turned into tamper blanks soon as I skin the bark off and see what Nature has left for me to work with.
Spent the morning cleaning out and organizing the work van in preparation of the coming heat. Loaded all the refrigerants needed and hoses and coil cleaners to get all the P/M's done this week. Everything is put away where it belongs so I will forget where it's at and end up buying more of what I'm looking for. As hard as I try I'm just not meant to be organized.
Got in 18 baskets of disc golf and did not even bleed or get bit by a timber rattler, cotton mouth, coral snake or copperhead. Man I love Tejas maybe I will go for swim and hope a alligator don't get me later.

My 20 year old step sister is having her umpteenth baby shower for her 3rd child, me and my 9 year old have excluded ourselves from the activities. He said "man, shes gunna have a really hard life." Smart kid! He also said "I know you have a lot of kids, but you're older, you have a job and you take care of us."
Other than that, it's a hot day in South Georgia. Since they're doing their stuff outside, there haven't been as many pipes as I would have liked to have today. The snuff drawer has been hit hard!

In your neck of the wood you need to carry the Bond Arms Snake Slayer. You can purchase interchangeable barrels. I usually carry in my pocket with the .357 chamber. Also available is the .410 shotgun shell barrel, might be a stinger to shoot, but I โ garontee โ you wonโt get bit by a snake. Now that itโs snake season once again, if I walk in a wooded area or along the stream near where I live, Iโd recommend only wearing high leather boots. Paid off for me two years ago with a huge cottonmouth I stepped on hidden under wet leaves!!
The only time I wear boots is when I am working, hint I don't work or try not to. Being a country boy I always look at the ground and even turn around three times before I sit down like a dog. I keep a Snake Charmer nearby I don't need two calibers to kill a snake. I watched every episode of Swamp People so I yell out Shoooooteeem Elisibeth before ending a reptiles life.
Just got off the phone with a fella about a riding job about 50 miles away. Heading out from here at about 6:30am tomorrow. The old guy said "Git here to the ranch early for the interview, and we'll sit down over a biscuit, sausage and coffee and talk about it". Now, that's my kind of job interview.
Setting here now on my daughter's porch enjoying the evening breeze along with a cup of wicked black coffee and a Boswell bowl of my own tobacco blend. You're right, this is why I don't work in a cubicle.
If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

Good luck on the interview, a biscuit, sausage and coffee.....the job is in the bag๐๐๐ Good luck and .....Congratulations.
As usual, another day with no human contact. Made the irrigation ditch rounds to the various farm's ditch head gates. No one comes over, as long as they get their water there is nothing to talk about it seems.

You need to get yourself a young rescue Labrador, will put a smile on your face๐๐๐ They usually get along fine with cats.

I have an Australian Shepherd, about 3 years old. There is young Labrador next door who comes over frequently. "Woody" is one great dog and we are both happy to see him.

Yeah, Ted, we all have $600 for a two shot Derringer that weighs more a Glock 45. A LEINAD is more in the budget for us poor Texas boys.

Bought mine used in excellent condition from Trigger Happy, a gun shop that closed its doors two years ago in Clayton NC. Cost me $250.00 with 3 different barreled chambers and a Forbes holster. Thank God for credit cards๐๐๐ Definitely not sorry for my purchase, saved my butt twice with 2 snakes.

Retail on that would be $1200. Never saw one in a pawn shop.

It was purchased from a gun shop that was โ forced โ to close itโs doors. I can locate the receipt back at my sonโs in my safe. I knew the owner of the shop for over four years. I paid exactly what he paid for the lot.
Getting ready to see the pain management specialist this morning. Not sure what they will suggest but hoping I can get some relief without having to use opiods. After that back at it with a couple freezers down and a scheduled P/M and ice machine cleaning. It's going to get hot here at the end of the week and have to get everything cleaned and ready to go.

Ha! Ted, I believe you, I just ain't that lucky. ๐๐ค I saw that they have a cheaper model that's half the price of the regular models. If I had any use for one I would be tempted. You can buy different barrels on eBay.
