I had to go to Urgent Care last night. My asthma and allergies have been so bad I was almost in panic mode. This has been the worst season I can remember. They planted wheat this year in the adjacent fields, and it's budding. I suspect that may be the culprit. Either way, I'm on the couch, miserable, on steroids and other meds. The asthma is a little bit better, but not great. The cough and stuffy nose are extremely annoying. I've got the biggest weekend of the year coming up, and I hope this passes by then. Prayers are welcome.
Hotter than H*ll (92°) here in central north Florida...had some errands to run, pick up some meds and now home again with the A/C blowing on high, got the shed A/C working there too...gotta have some place to smoke and be outta the heat.
Saw the pain specialist and they are going to start me off with steroid therapy and then physical therapy to help get some mobility back. Not thrilled about getting a needle stuck in my neck but at this point I'll try it.
Ronv69 I hope you get some good news from the neurologist.

Jason, feel better real soon. Don’t leave your house without your rescue inhaler. Very high pollen count right now, hopefully it will get better shortly 👌👍👍

buddy... That must be scary. I hope you find relief really quickly.
You need to get yourself a young rescue Labrador, will put a smile on your face👌👍👍 They usually get along fine with cats.
I have an Australian Shepherd, about 3 years old. There is young Labrador next door who comes over frequently. "Woody" is one great dog and we are both happy to see him.
we have an Aussie. He is 10 years old. Would love to see a photo of your's. We are quite partial to the breed

wow, that is terrible! asthma is very scary. I had a friend in college who developed asthma, she had a bad time of it, hard to get it under control. she was rushed to the ER several times. One weekend the Head RA had to go on a field trip, she was the only RA who had a car, and her car was a standard. None of the other female RAs could drive a standard, but the Head RA was a friend of mine and she had let me fine tune my standard driving skills in her car after my Dad passed away. SO, I was on call to drive her car if we needed to take AJ to the ER. The assistant RA was in full panic mode, checking in with me like every 30 minutes to make sure i was attired properly and ready to go at a moment's notice. Fortunately we didn't have to make a trip that weekend.
Hope things calm down for you soon! Thoughts and prayers.

Showed up at the job interview this morning with my saddle in the back of the truck, just-in-case. We had that biscuit, sausage and coffee and I was hired right on the spot and put straight to work. Spent 3 hours riding and then helped the vet with a bad sick horse.
They gave me a spooky horse (I found out later) to test me. I not only rode that rascal without problems, in 3 hours I had taught him to push the gates closed with his nose as we rode through them. I don't care what it pays, I just love doing what I love to do!
If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

Good for you, but I told you yesterday you’d be hired with your background. All the best to you on this job👌👍👍

After a disappointing cigar, I’m contemplating whether to grab a pipe or to just lay on the couch and veg out with a glass of wine.
Pisser when you get a smoke that you didn't care for...maybe that glass of wine is calling your name...wish it was me..can't drink any kind of alcohol...damn meds kill all the fun in life.

I’m leaning towards the couch thing too Walt. The cigar, well......I like Pete Johnson and have met him a few times. He is a great marketer but unfortunately aside from the Tatuaje Black Label, I haven’t enjoyed much of what he’s produced. I tried this one tonight and it was the same old thing. Bitter, terrible burn, etc. I’d usually blame myself for not properly storing but it’s been sitting at 60 degrees and 62-64 RH for the last 8 years. The stick looked beyond pristine

After 15 hours of driving today, some of it through interesting weather in the TX panhandle, finally enjoying a pipe or two. 888 miles from our daughter’s in the Rio Grande Valley to our home in SW Kansas. Thankful for a safe journey!
May we live, not by our fears but by our hopes; not by our words but by our deeds; not by our disappointments but by our dreams.
