Today marks 42 years with my precious wife, Karen. I have been complete for a long time and wouldn't have it any other way.
Congratulations!

Closer to Raton. The south end of the great San Luis Valley which extends from Colorado into New Mexico.
I love the Valley. Spent a lot of time in and around the area when I was in school. Durango was my home base for six years. Have often thought of moving to Trinidad or Raton in retirement. Would love to be near the Whittington Center.
I hear Raton is developing an artist scene and is becoming more, eh, urbane?
"It furthers one to have somewhere to go". From The Book of Changes- I Ching.
"Have often thought of moving to Trinidad or Raton in retirement. " Would love to retire there too, but retirement has found us in Tallahassee which is an armpit, but where we own the small home we live in....maybe we'll be able to travel there and visit sometime.
Ken...so glad your pipes and tobacco weren't damaged with the water in your basement.
Congratulations on your Anniversary, Ron...hope you have many more happy years.
Broke out a meer today...filled it with Bengal Slices...haven't smoked this pipe in months...looking forward to enjoying it.
Rainy day here in West Michigan. Not complaining. Iβve done a load of yard work the past few days. The rain makes it for some R&R. There are plenty of days for yard work.
Spent the morning in the hospital..Ulcers made a return visit. The doc got his laser after them..I'll find out in a week what the deal is...Probably another pill.

Larry, feel better real soon!!! Hope itβs something simple as a new medication or change of diet. All the best to youπ
sperrytops.........since there was no audio other then music I donβt have a clue what wood was used. Any non-toxic/poisonous wood will work well. You donβt have to own expensive tools to build this beautiful Churchwardenπππ

I've been suffering with a head cold the last few days. Feeling miserable, but it's nothing compared to ulcers or asthma, so I'm blessed.
Congrats, Ron. Tell Karen I wish her a happy anniversary too.
I can start to apply for churches come September, but some vacancy conveners are already approaching me (and everyone else in my year) out considering the church they are covering. It's melting my head. I often prefer no choice.
That said, there aren't many places that will be a good fit for me and that's critical. A bad fit wouldn't do me or the congregation any good.

Hopefully a Church in your area will hire you, so you and the family does not have to move. Plus, the local community knows you well, the man you are.....which is important for a β trusting congregation β.
All the best to you Andre with lifeβs endeavors. Just make sure BOTH you and your wife is good with the decision.
My nerves are shaken because my son has to get tubes in his ears tomorrow. It's a "routine procedure" but still...
I guess I need to clean my "tobacco desk." I'm just a bit OCD and this has been driving me nuts for a few days, but today is the day.
Josh...Got enough snuff? Prayers for your young un and his procedure tomorrow...you, too, Andre in your decision as to where to go. Wherever you land...they are lucky to have you as their spiritual adviser and friend.

She came in with a smile and a pipe. A study of contradictions, she seemed to understand more than most. Eyes shining with humor and a comforting, easy to talk to demeanor. She was a goddess in mortal skin. She raised a glass and said, "Confusion to the memory of Newton."

Just took my boy to the back, should be done in 5-10 minutes. Beautiful morning for a pipe, but I'm in a hospital waiting room. Have a load of Cheeta in my nose though. Coffee from the gas station is worse than Hardees!!
Praying for a successful procedure, Josh...it is a very common procedure so should be no problems.
Ted...that was a close and good friend of hers'.
Starting the day by going to the Dr. to pick up Rx's for the next couple months. Home again after that for a calm and relaxing day...got the "baby" and wife with me...so all is well.

Another beautiful morning here. Heavy dew last night good for the plants. Picked about 3 gallons of wild blackberries yesterday. Snacking on them at the desk this morning. Hopefully I don't end up eating them all.
