Really sorry Margaret..That must be a terrible feeling.
yes, it is. some friends on Facebook have suggested he may just be tom cattin' around, so I have my fingers crossed he'll be back in a few days.

Some cats wonder away for a few days. Others are here like velcro.
Over the years I have had seven feral cats stop showing up for feeding. I was thinking of them today. Whether caught be predators or found another home with less competition, I cannot say. I enjoyed all of them and miss them.

Had to get some totes for my tinned tobacco because the boxes they were in were damp so I got everything put away and jarred 13 pounds of tobacco and will be getting ready to take Kim out for dinner. I got the garage dried out by running a couple old squirrel cage fans I had laying around. We have more rain coming until Friday. I've had enough and wish summer would just get underway.

I found that I was able to pile all my cellar into 4 large totes so that in case of evacuation time, I can pile them all in the back of my truck and take them with me. Heavy as hell but with my wife on 1 side and me on the other we can lift them into the back of the truck and haul a** if need be.
we haven't seen our "stray" cat in over 48 hours. I am sad
Hopefully your stray cat is out on the town with a friend of the opposite sex and will return after the fling is over!!! Let us know, thanks.

Did a whole lot of nothing today and I am good at doing nothing. By the time momma got home it was mucho caliente when I tried to take ninja dog out she tried to spread her legs wide at the door but she has short legs so she lost. Had a cigar out back after the sun went down and went and got another giant diet soda to quench my thirst.
The neighbor thinks he has to kill all the snakes that go in his yard. I was out with the dog and noticed this one headed that way. It has now been relocated behind my house... I havent found any red ones in quite a few years. It was about 3 1/2 feet long. Beautiful in my opinion
Red Rat Snake
Josh, I had a red rat snake for many years. My wife's uncle gave him to me before we got married. I had him for about twelve years. I gave him to a friend when we moved and he overfed him and shortened his life span, no doubt.

We owned a cat that would leave in fall and come back in winter. It's not like he would be living at someone else's house. Cat looked like hell every spring. You know he had it rough, this was New England.
Good Morning Patchers! Raining and thunderstorms here in central north Florida...gotta wait for the storms to be over to pick up meds for the month...then smoking on the porch for the rest of the day.

It was a lovely day this morning, but I was busy all day. Yesterday was the same - it was beautiful but I had two funerals...Both days, when I get back from work it rains so no pipe for me. Ah well...My tobacco will last a little longer.
no. it is really odd. he was out Saturday afternoon watching my son and brother put up Mom's screen house, and when we went to sit out that evening he was no where to be seen and haven't seen him since

My ever loyal male feral altered Tom, "Mittens", failed to show for breakfast feeding outside. He never misses a meal and spends his time on the roof waiting for me or on the porch next to the front door. There have been two large hawks circling overhead on and off the last few days. I hate to loose him. Grey tiger stripe with four white paws, clipped ear tips which either froze or were chewed off by his opponents. Big fellow, I don't think he lost many fights. Tough looking cat.
PS. Just heard that hawk calling again. Still circling.

I can sympathize, sir. Hoping your fellow shows up again soon, and mine as well. I never thought about a hawk, we had one in the spring but haven't seen him lately.
