you're drinking that when you live in the Land of Guinness? for shame! lol
Guinness is only great when I'm draught, from a tap. I leave that until I'm out for a pint.
can't stand American beers. We prefer Guinness. I will get Michelob's Amber Bock or Yuengling Black and Tan for cooking. Hubby discovered Bavarian beer at a German restaurant and that is what we like.

Considering I'm hopefully moving soon I'm going through my cellar again. OCD kicked in hard and this is taking way longer than expected. I now have 2 of my big jars free so I'm going to blend something up, label it and tuck it away in the deep cellar. The plan is to forget about it for a few years. Chances are it will be mediocre at best.
Everything is getting categorized and inventoried, pipe tobacco and snuff. Some of my pipes are also getting put up.

Where did all of this even come from?!?
I went through that when I put all my tins in tubs. I found stuff I forgot I had and had ordered more. Oh well, never have too much tobacco.

after three visits by the repairman, we finally have AC again. the motor seems to be pumping it out quite nicely, it's double the size of what was taken out, but what was put in is the right size for the unit we have. just hoping this doesn't make my electric bill an blood sucking vampire....

Print is dying a slow death I found a website that discussed which papers were done and the ones on the way to done. I get the LA Times online as I got a deal many years ago for a lifetime when they first started online. Cant wait for the NYT @ WP to go as they have turned into one sided rags. newspaperdeathwatch.com/
I've been wishing for the death of the Houston Chronicle for 50 years, and still it hangs on. What I wouldn't give for a decent, honest newspaper.
Ron I have not purchased that paper in a good five years, There used to be a old gentleman who sold the Sunday paper on 242@I45 I don't care what the weather he was there. I could not resist buying it from him you have to respect a man who tries hard.
I've got a table and some chairs on my porch. It's hard to sit there during the day this time of year. That Carolina sun can be brutal. This morning some neighbors who like to sit out there with me and my wife showed up with a large umbrella that goes through a hole in the center of the table..Now we can sit out when we want to..Some times I wonder why I have such good Neighbors..Maybe it's the free coffee they get at my house every morning.

Finally finished the cellar inventory and organization. I did take a break for a couple hours. During that time I didnt even want a pipe. I've been looking at tobacco all day long.

I had to threaten to sue them in the 80s because they wouldn't stop throwing it in my yard for years after I had canceled it. And about once a year they would bill me for it and threatened to send it to the collection agency. After the biased pages the real news gets the sort shrift.
Got me a pork roast in the crock pot a small one just enough for me and mama. Orange juice and marmalade like a poor mans duck a la ronge. Have you seen the price of duck the ones that swim out better be glad I like them.

Oooo a good day already. Was just told I have Thursday and Friday off and I'll be paid for it. My boss is going out of town and he needs some plumbing moved in his bathroom that we are remodeling. He said if I wanted to do it Friday while they were gone he would double my pay.
Also, I went to pay some bills this morning and realized that I doubled up some payments last month, which means no payments on those this month.
Now I can justify a Watch City order since I finished off my 558 yesturday. Bonus week for sure!

Hey Josh--leave some of the 558 for me. I intend to order more this week.
Seriously--this is becoming one of my favorites. I think I will "cellar" a good bit of this and their Old Black Magic.
Thanks Josh & William........I’ve not smoked 558 since 2015......now that it’s been mentioned more than once I think I need to place an order at the end of the month. I left 3 large jars with a friend back on Long Island because he fell in love with this fine Flake. Sometimes I can be a real knucklehead!!! Watch City here I come again👌👍👍

NASA Mission Control has been completely restored to the exact state it was in on July 20th 1969. Coffee cups, ash trays, images on the screens, etc. The only thing different is that the original ceiling tiles were so stained by cigarette smoke that they were dark brown and had to be disposed of as toxic waste.
Edit:This is open to the public as part of the National Park Service. Local donations were used to restore it to original condition.
Just got home and have to start packing the camper. We're headed out Wed. and will be back Sunday. I got everything mechanic wise checked out and ready to go earlier in the spring but the weather here has been bad. Nice looking weather for the trip mid to upper 80's and small chances for rain. Been looking forward to this for a while.

I hope you have an amazing time. It seems like you've been working hard so enjoy every minute of it.

Hope you and your family have a great vacation. Be safe and watch for those other idiots on the road during the holiday week. HAPPY FISHING!?!?!?
Been enjoying the "mountains" of Ky...visited some flea markets and yard sales...no pipes have I seen...not a one..you'd think the old codgers would be smoking them...nope not one. Got some nice comments on my stained cobs, though.

All, please send some prayers and other stuff for my wife. She's either dealing with a severe allergic reaction to some unknown trigger, or it could be more serious. She's been dealing with it since Saturday, and has seen the doctor, but it's a LOT worse today. We're going to try to get her back to the doctor today, or maybe the ER. Please pray this clears up.
