So today was a rough day...
I went to a funeral of a 3 year old boy who died during the week (4 days after his 3rd birthday).
It was a tough funeral, but the minister handled it like a pro.
I left there to visit a family friend who had a heart attack and is in icu. He may not make the week.
That's a bit negative for a post. So to brighten it up I was going to tell a joke about a blunt pencil, but I decided not to...
There's no point.

Legend LoverI couldn’t fathom any words or sentiments to express about the boy. I hope your friend pulls through. I’m glad you’re feeling better, at least physically. @cosmicbobo I’m glad Bully is getting back to feeling like himself. I’m going to order Five Brothers soon. You’ve peaked my curiosity.

@legend Lover ... sounds pretty rough my friend. Take care and keep that sense of humor! @cosmicbobo ... great to hear about Bully! It's 105F today and I'm just trying to keep cool enough to even want a smoke. At around 7% humidity, the tobacco does dry quickly for me though!

I think the last thing I may lose is my sense of humour. It keeps me sane.

I was going to comment on your non-joke, but I was reminded of the story of the two holes. I put my keyboard down and said "well, well."

Darin we'll probably have your weather in August. Wolfman remember you are getting a straight burley. It's similar to D&R Two Timer except the flavor stays all the way through. And it is a great neutral flavor with coffee. Thanks again to all for the kind comments I am almost back in the saddle again, but couldn't get a crane to finish the job on such short notice PS - Five Brothers would be my first, but not only choice, to take fishing. I would never be without two tobaccos. Thing about other blends they can be affected by what you have eaten, what pipe, etc. 5B is the exact same with the exact same smoke every time

@cosmicbobo I just ordered a pouch of Five Brothers. Puff lightly the first couple puffs. My first puff I was blowing smoke for 30 seconds. Not strong. Just solid

Fifty Year Old Secret Revealed... ah, maybe not
So, fifty years ago, in between Archies Records, I would monk out to music like Nobody But Me by the Human Beinz. First Video. I had to listen closely, as I wasn't sure about the words. "Nobody can do the Shingaling (?) like I do. Nobody can do the Shake like I do. Nobody can do the Boogaloo like I do.
Hmm. I swore they said Shingaling. Sounded cool, though a little girly-manish. So, I'll listen to it in my tutu. Over the years when the song would come back to me I thought: Shingaling? Nah... maybe they were saying the Shimmy. Fortunately for you all, I had some time on my hands. Twenty years ago, in the Wild West Days of the Internet, this would not have been so easily. I rather boldly typed in the search box... Shingaling. Boogaloo turned up. Kept looking and found out it is a variation. So it was not Shimmy. My 16 year old ears heard it right. But who would know anything about it? Again, fortunately for you all, I had some time on my hands. Too much. The first video will be the song Nobody But Me. The second song will be the Shinagling, having nothing to do with the song Chingaling from a few years earlier. Cool song, too. Deal is, you cannot play this too loudly or with anybody in the room with you, unless they are chroniclers, too. Otherwise this stays Hush Hush, Definitely Down Low, On the QT, and Strictly Confidential.

Couple tobacco thoughts, as long as we keep it Hush Hush, Definitely Down Low, on the QT, and Strictly Confidential. I got a second order from Iwan Reis. I am having to piece meal this as money permits. All the money I took in entertaining sailors got scooped up by Bully this week. BUT, I mentioned the other day about the Sutliff Private Stock CD mix. It is really great, having a really nice back flavor. To me, back flavor is solidly there, but it kind of slides in with the tobacco. I was ready to buy some more but decided to open a tin of Iwan Reis Dutch. I totally went nuts over this. Same issue. It's not the overall smoke that comes in. It def comes in on the Down Low. It's almost sweet. Maybe detect a little cocoa one minute and Butterscotch the next. This is a real keeper and might be something to stock up on before the Sutliff CD. Warning on the CD. It's out of production in the tin and mine was aged at least a few years. Wonderful, but I doubt if Reis's supply will last forever. Now for what I am smoking at present. I have mentioned my love of Peter Stokkebye's English Oriental Supreme. Well, I picked up a few (month or two back) of some Whiskey and Bourbon blends. They can be the same thing, but if the same brand has both, they are different. This whiskey blend is mild, flavorful, and should be a boon at that price to buy some bulk. I think it might be a match for Sutliff Private Stock Top Shelf that Darin gifted me. I am finding that many of the PS bulks are ringers for Sutliff bulks, even though different manufacturers. Anyway, this is nothing astounding, but if you like whiskey but don't like that many of the blends bite, this one is for you. Also to recap, the Iwan Reis signature blends really have some nostalgic and righteous flavors

@cosmicbobo I'm starting to sense that you dig Sutliff like Robert Goulet digs Gueneviere:

zambini you know me well. I like Robert Goulet, but you can't tell the Reticulans that. With them it's all Frank Frank Frank. I have to admit, though, that I want to keep trying more of Iwan Reis's blends. The reason is that many are nothing like any other blend at SP, P&C. PS has also been surprising me. My first several small amounts had no flavor. I never buy less than four ounces now unless it's tinned

Deer tick count for the day: 2 3 of 5 stars. Deer Ticks require some re-lights. Burn to an ash, no goop left in the bowl. Can be an all day smoke.
