I volunteer at a local museum on Tuesdays. It’s getting quite slow since kids went back to school. That's amazing big kudos to you and your volunteer work. What kind of museum as I am intrigued now. |

I wanted to volunteer for organizations in town. I tried the library, the dog and cat shelter, and a local historical group. Nope. I did not fit their "volunteer profiles", I guess.
There are a couple of local groups in our village which I volunteer for but the work is solitary. Not much fun there.

All museums are historical. . . .just sayin' I was going to say that but for once I refrained. John I find that strange as most of the folks around you reminisce about the time they went to Allsup's convenience store in Taos. Your area is rich in some really old history. |

 I volunteered after my cancer at a cancer center, they would lend out beds, all kinds of hospital equipment to cancer patients. I asked the Lady in Charge what’s the best way for me to help. She said the equipment warehouse was always a shamble , could I try and straighten it out. It was a huge place, stuff all over, mixed, piled on top of each other. She came down and offered me some men to help, told her keep them somewhere else I’ve got this. They had a small tow motor, moved a bunch of crap, taped some lines on concrete and started, beds in one box, with a number, wheelchairs in another, it took me 2 weeks to get it straight, when Lady in charge came in she almost cried, told her this is my payment for help I got during my ordel. . She wanted me to run it, but I told her Lady it’s Fall and Speck and Redfish fishing is calling me. This was my way of giving back.

Snowing here in Denver again today. My wife and daughter were sent home early from work and high school, respectively, and have been happily watching "chick flicks" this afternoon. More snow is expected tomorrow.

It wasn't how we had planned it, but it's how it worked out. That said, use the word, 'new' loosely. We were out today to get sofas for the house and school uniforms for the girls. been a very busy coupla days, I'm spent. Fortunately I can sit at home today with a pot of soup.
Congrats, Paddy! looking forward t the photos.
Read through the dating posts with amusement. My Dad never got to do that for me, but while he was alive he stressed what proper behavior for a guy dating a girl should be. Didn't have my first date until I was an adult, in college. Dad had been gone five months. I only had two boyfriends my entire life. The first one lasted 6 months, the second one is holding steady at 24 years and two months....

Another morning with light snow. Supposed to be cold with a day high of 22 degrees and an overnight low of -1 degree (F). This is cold for October, more like January weather.
Looks to be another indoor day.

64 and raining all day today. I did paperwork yesterday and got my projects approved at the board meeting last night, but I think I will spend today in the garage finishing little things on the trike. I have to reinstall the driver's cup holder, put in new elastic straps for the sheep skins, mount the cell phone holder, and touch up some scratches on the trunk where something fell on it in storage.

Momma is home sick and it drizzling outside. But it sure beats yesterday where most of the day was spent unclogging the fifth wheel commode pipe. Still have not purchased a new chair but my balance is really improving with the broken one requiring proper posture to stay perched upright.

Son came in this morning, 29 hrs in ER, he could barely put one foot down after another, I was smoking a 5 Vegas, I asked, sleep or eat, sleep he said. Reminded me of my long hrs during turnarounds at Exxon. Now he knows what Daddy went thru.

I used to have a job where I averaged 106 hours a week. Good thing I was young. I was 64 the last time I had to work 24 hours straight on a server changeover, and I had a lot of 18+hour days in the data centers in my 60s. Made me appreciate the cubicle.

Nobody showed up for the meeting except for the board members and the management company rep and her assistant, Morgan, a generation Z type person. I asked her, Morgan like Morgan le Fey, and she gave me a blank look. I asked her if she had ever read about King Arthur and she said no. What in the world do they call education these days? I should start a King Arthur persona on Tweeter and Facepalm and maybe teach people something. Old grouch signing off now. 😵🤯
On top of that I got home in time to watch the game. 😩😢😭

Got the wife to hook up the new batteries in my powerchair and hook up and route the wiring harness for the led headlight and taillight. Next will be drilling holes in the seat base and mounting the lights. Did 3 loads of laundry, watched some YouTube videos on morse code.
