Morning all. Very tired. Spent the night passing a kidney stone. Now I have 6 hours of driving and two assignments to do before getting to the hotel. Really looking forward to being able to pull over somewhere and having a pipe and a good book.

I guess I am lucky compared to some people, I only have about 1 kidney stone a year. Sign of advancing age and wisdom I guess.

The rear light of one of the BMW X5’s looks like a cross section of a pipe! Sort of a Billiard with a chin. Maybe a straight Castello Shape 55? I was stuck behind one of these on my way to play the score to ‘Casablanca’ with the Vancouver Symphony at the Orpheum. In fact, it looks so much like a pipe I wonder if it isn’t deliberate?

The first one I thought I was dying, and the second saved my life. Insurance claim inspectors don't get sick days?

The first passed, but the second could not be and after two costly procedures in the US remained lodged in her UT for two years. When we moved to Canada it was removed, easily and at zero cost, by a genius surgeon, who literally wrote the book!, in a procedure that she herself invented and perfected. Soon after she was asked to retire as full time surgeon in order to train the next generation at UBC Medical School!

Me too. I was very frustrated these last 24 hours. We should set up some kind of database of contact info so we can pass the word around if things like this happen.

There's a list of everyone's email addresses in the site database. I got an email once things were coming back online. Maybe the user table could be piped out on a weekly basis, so contact can be made before the site is fixed.

Happy to see we're back from Patchcopalapse. Got a little nervous that it was over and I lost a lot of contact info saved in my messages. I will copy all of it to my phone so I track some of you down if this happens again.

Boring bday drank some good coffee and read a book most of the day. Had a nice two hour nap and woke up hot so I turned the AC on. Winter in the swamp is rough.

These just arrived from Paul’s Pipe Shop. With the 20 NOS pipes and display case are also ten boxes, three with original sleeves. They are beyond beautiful and I am thrilled!
