I will bet that breezes coming off the Gulf are more pleasant than what blows down from Canada. North winds here have flowed through the entire Rocky Mountain chain of 14,000 foot peaks. By the time it gets to my place it is COLD!!!

It was 58 when I got up and now it's 52 and dropping. About to get in the truck and drive over to Spring to see the Big Boy 4014 steam locomotive go by.

Gumbo weather, Roux Rolling, cutting up chicken, buddy going crazy over roux smell, smoked sausage getting cut up, Man the only bad thing I can’t eat any potato salad on low carb. That’s what’s good about cold weather in Cajun Country.

Sierra Foothills temperatures dropping. High 60's day time, low 50's night time. Days are still clear, and fire season is over (I think). Enough damage for one year. Getting a pellet stove installed today, replacing one that broke down completely. Motor burned out and can no longer be replaced (did that once ten years ago). It'll be nice, though. This baby's fully automated with remote control to start and stop. The only thing it doesn't do is load the pellets for you. Anyway, hope all of you are having a good day and enjoying the Fall weather.

0 degrees Celsius today, but bright and sunny. I've a couple of minutes, while pizza dough prices, to say hi and see what's happening in the patch.
Ordination and installation is tomorrow at 2pm. Big day, but I don't like being the centre of attention, so I'll have to suck it up.
Also, did my first wedding yesterday... Such a privilege to officiate at a friend's wedding.
Ed, I'll move your post now.

That’s what’s good about cold weather in Cajun Country. You killing me!!! I make Gumbo. Of course, we don't have the right sausage here. I may have to order in some on my position. There is Cajun market that ships. I cannot recall their name. You may have mentioned it once or twice. I figure that going to the trouble of making a brown roux and stock, ought to have the real sausage.

He married a New Zealand girl and she insisted that their wedding be conducted by an Irish Priest. So, my non-religious pal had to search all over, finally finding a Catholic Father in a remote church. When the Father heard about the gal's request, he really camped it up for the wedding. The wedding was like watching a Barry Fitzgerald movie.

I had a very strange image of bigwoolie prancing around a camp fire wearing a feather boa.

Got back this afternoon from oral surgery. Feel like I got hit by a truck, a small truck but a truck. Fortunately I only have to hold off my pipes for 4-6 days, I was afraid it was going to be weeks to months(Yea). Then I have 2-3 months of healing before the implants, then the crowns and bridges. I really think the next six months are going suck, at least orally.

Fought hard to keep my ex in the hospital another night following her emergency hip replacement surgery yesterday. The hospital does not want to keep patients in beds. I do not know if this is a Medicare issue or what. She just had too much trouble getting out of bed this soon. Tomorrow is another day.

She is lucky to have you helping her...not many ex's would do that...guess it depends on the reason folks split apart..."for better or worse"...I'll be stickin' by her.
