Probably not Marty I am just not a picture poster by nature. That picture was from about three years ago after a extended stay at the local horsepital. I let my hair grow long enough that I donated it for a wig at the children's cancer hospital earlier last year. Shaving is a love hate relationship as I have a very nice kit but the hands don't always cooperate.... nor does he need the bleeding. At this stage of game I am done trying to impress anyone. Cold outside on the porch...54° or so and too damn cold for me.

44 and nice in SE Texas this morning. At the throw-down chiropractor office getting TENS. I look forward to seeing a real doctor who is interested in helping. Blood pressure has been through the roof since the wreck. 172/112 this morning.

Just got back from another root canal. I should be good for a while with only one cavity and a cleaning due when I return for the crown. Just starting to get feeling in my face back and can almost talk normally.

Sounds like you guys are having a rough time... Ken and Ron. Freezing my butt off here today, had to drag out an electric blanket just to smoke on the porch today...not really a crisis or as they say...first world problems.

A stray cat started hanging around my house a few days ago.Of course my wife started feeding it.My son took it to a vet this morning..It's very healthy. They updated all of it's shots..The good news is a neighbor lady is going to take it home with her..I breathed a sigh of relief when she said that..For a while I thought my wife was going to stick me with another cat.She loves cats. She already has two.To me they're pretty useless but I try to keep her as happy as I can.

46 on the lake with a pretty good north breeze. I wanted to smoke but I don't need to catch a cold so we will wait till after lunch when the sun warms my seating area on the bulk head. We just had the AC going this past Saturday but that's life on the gulf coast.

Michael, you've opened the door to recriminations...dogs are never useless...they are our closest friends, true to the heart, always and forever...besides which they say that dogs have masters and cats have staff...how true that is I'm not sure!

Cats vs dogs... Could this be the downfall of the daily chronicle? Lol

It was OK, but I don't think that we'll do it again. We wanted a roast duck but none of the local stores had any. It was kind of like a cross between duck and ham. Not as good as either. a cross between duck and ham... Dam!

I have no use for a dog, I don't search for missing children, hunt birds, besides dogs slober, bark insesintly at the air and they have to go outside for excersise and use the yard. Cats are quiet, cuddly, return affection given and don't have to go outside to do the do! I've had both and years ago when I hunted I had and trained German Shorthairs but I don't do that any more so will take my kittehs that I've had for over 30 years now. Not one cat but several over the years. Just replying to a statement !

I used to be a cat person, also...transported an American Snowshoe from Miami to Seattle by plane...had to go to Idaho on business, roommate let the cat out...had to take a bus back to Seattle to look for a cat that had no idea where its' home was...found him several days later under a neighbors' porch...I cried like a baby when I found him. Now I am attached to small shelter dogs...love them as much as my cats. Having that kind of love from an animal is purer than from a human...they will never cheat on ya, or intentionally run up your credit card.

Yeah, the unintentional bills can be very expensive, but the lil critter to us is worth every bit of it...where can you get love like that for any price.

No one ever said a cat is mans best friend. I can smell you litter box from Houston. Cats pee in shoes. Cats just watch burglars. The only time a cat loves you is when it is time to be fed.

How are the mice and other rodent pests? I have none here, not with three indoor and six outdoor cats. My indoor cats are all affectionate, lap sitters, chest sleepers. "Squeak" follows me when I am working outside. Snow or not, he is always behind me. I am for cats and for dogs.

Oh we have snakes in the swamp for those kind of things being blessed with all north American poisonous snakes and we have skunks that eat the snakes and then feral hogs that eat the snakes and armadillos who eat snakes and deer who stump snakes to death. Then the local yokels who kill the skunks, deer, armadillos and the hogs so nature is in perfect balance here. Unlike the wilds of New Mexico we have no rodents thus have no need for cats.

I have both cats and a dog and sometimes I can watch them play peacefully together.
Both are consumers and both are affectionate beings that enrich my family’s lives.
I, also, am for both.

I am for both, too...but more recently I think I would lean more towards cats. They take care of themselves. I like that.

I am for both also even though I haven't had a pooch for over 30 years. I had a Doberman and she was a sweet, loving and smart dog. When she died I felt I could never find another like her. I have two cats, one I adopted from a shelter and the other is a stray that showed up and hasn't left. Both have their moments but do their jobs when it comes to keeping the mice out of the house.

34 degrees, was awakened around 5 by farmers getting equipment ready for cane cutting party, they started yesterday, usually takes them 2 days for 81 acres, could do it faster but wait for trucks to get it at the mill. Going to Walgreens this morning for flu shot, was gonna go yesterday but they were busy as all get out, Lady told me first thing in the morning it’s calm. Beautiful weather other than it’s cold.. as the full cane truck take off , Buddy has been raceing them, he’s winning now as usually he races trucks going 50 to 60 mph, He’s so happy, he waits for the full cane truck and off he goes.😂

Now watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I've always loved that movie. One of my absolute favorite family films. 👍 it is so fun. Dick Van Dyke is amazing with what he can do. Hubby and I watch The Ole Bamboo scene in amazement with him being perfectly OUT of step, lol. And the music box scene is awesome too.

Good to see you posting and have survived the Thanksgiving holiday, Lady M.! by Monday, Nov. 25 I was ready for my husband to go back to work, lol. We ran around all day long Saturday, part of Sunday and Monday. I got a little bit of a break Tuesday and Wednesday. After making chili Thursday morning, going out to eat, we got to get comfortable and watch movies. Visited my best friend on Friday, hubby tried to tutor her in statistics and logic for her college math class. He got an apple pie for his efforts, I got a home made banana bread for my birthday Saturday was my birthday and hubby took me to a huge flea market I had been wanting to go to. I got a lovely brass bell. To cap the day off I wanted dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant, but when we got there they were closed Ended up eating at IHOP, but the tilapia florentine was very good. We managed to get to the Mexican restaurant after church Sunday. Yesterday I had to take my mother to the bank then grocery shopping, that takes about two hours because she does not get around well and refuses to use a walker. If I can get her to push the cart she does much better, she's just really unsteady on her feet. Then I had a couple of my own errands to do, then karate last night. Today I will be spending the day at the smoking lounge, then I collect hubby from work, we get a bite to eat then back to the lounge for pipe club. Somehow I was put in charge of that. Those poor fools!

Slept from 11:30-12:30, then layed there listening to music on YouTube till 5:30, got one hours sleep before another nightmare woke me up. I really do not enjoy life anymore. We have never ending death, destruction, corruption, starvation, slavery, torture, debt, depression, crime, disease, and Captain Black Grape. ..something is wrong here. If this is the best that the incompetent, jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully can do, I am not impressed.
Yeah, I am treading on thin ice here, but will seek forgiveness this time.
