Having had my morning Burley and Coffee, I just finished a bowl of Ice Cream, Neopolitan flavor. Pondering my next bowl.
Bully is finally over his Fourth of July chickenheartedness, after 10 days of fireworks. If people in the city want to have fun in the heat lets' open up a hydrant and have a naked party, tutus optional. You know I will be there.
Working, nothing written down yet, a mega review on Captain Black v 7 Seas. Sure to be a crowd pleaser. Stay Stewed

We can all dance “ neked “ around the fire hydrant while smoking our favorite pipes and tobacco’s. In between have a barbecue and relax and enjoy another pipe full. After we all relax a game of “ neked “ volleyball is to be played. We will decide teams once we see how many people show up😜🤪😂. OMG....can any of you just picture this in your mind, bet we would all be on YouTube and famous,if not arrested...lol

Okay, full disclosure here: First, nods to the Village People, but here is another disco fave.
First time I heard it I was at Famous-Barr (our Lords and Taylors) buying some Cheeks Flares and a black shirt with some metallic striping, and some patent leather platforms. I was in a Troglodyte sort of mood (later). Feeling every bit the Macho Man I am flipping through the slacks and all the sudden this song comes on with the words, "My Body, Your Body, Everybody." I thought it was singing about an orgy. Getting all excited I drop to my knees to do a Hail Mary, but I wasn't sure if I was in a thankful mood or a penitent mood. So, I got up and shopped my arse of and hit the discos that night looking like the "Nines" and striking out like the "deuces."
Then I find out the song was about exercise. I didn't put the platforms on again until I went from 5'8" to 6'... and took them right off. Went out and bought some pleats and entered the Eighties.

Yup, I was into Disco, maybe because I played the Drums and liked the beat along with the heavy bass. One of my favorite Disco groups 👍👍👍

My two favorite drum solo’s to play were Wipe Out and Let There Be Drums. In my day I was pretty darn good....so I’ve been told. Still remember the band and drum battles of the late 60’s and 70’s. I have a few videos of me playing, on dvd, I need to go through one of my Rubbermaid storage containers and locate the discs. One day I’ll share it on here for those that enjoy Classic Rock.

After having my usual breakfast sandwich (a grilled ham with extra sharp cheese and banana peppers) iced decaf sweet tea and taking my morning meds, I just finished a bowl of Amphora Original and now it’s time for my morning nap. I’ll probably spend most of the day in my recliner reading and listening to Emmylou Harris on Pandora. I’ve got a bowl of OGS in my Design Berlin Royal Star paneled pot waiting for me whenever I awake from my nap. Looks like a good day ahead.

Last day of work for me this week. Headed to Mexico Beach with my 8 year old until Sunday. Leaving the pipes at home but I'm sure gunna miss them.

Here in north Floriduh, it is gonna be over 100 degrees. So it is A/C for me all day. Just finished a cup of wonderful Kona coffee and a bowl of Butternut Burley (first turned on to by AJ) in a cob. Then on to a bowl of Killington (old 4-noggins blend) in a wonderful Briar Spirit bent Dublin with a plateau rim. This pipe is so large that it almost is a churchwarden. Made by Kirk with love in his heart for his friends (as all his pipes were made).

My two favorite drum solo’s to play were Wipe Out and Let There Be Drums. In my day I was pretty darn good....so I’ve been told. Still remember the band and drum battles of the late 60’s and 70’s. I have a few videos of me playing, on dvd, I need to go through one of my Rubbermaid storage containers and locate the discs. One day I’ll share it on here for those that enjoy Classic Rock. But no one can come close to Ginger Baker of Cream. He was the "man" on drums. 'Course Nicky Mason of Pink Floyd is no slouch either. |

So back to the beach today in sligo. It's certainly cooled down a lot and apparently the Arctic regime is to reestablish itself next week so back to normal weather temperatures next week. I've had no time for my pipe but it's been nice to get away. I hope you get a good trip to Mexico, roadsdiverged. Here's today's picture. The stones were piled up when I got there, but made a good feature (if not a little clichéd) ...  |

But thank you. It's nice to get away, from the place I call home, for a while. I've needed the break for quite some time. Gunna take time away from the phone as well. It will be left at the place we rented until night time. |
