Anybody who still believes cleaning the oven is "woman's work" is dead wrong. I sliced open my forearm, sucked up toxic fumes from Easy Off (which isn't so easy and requires multiple applications) and my hands are prunes. Tough job this one. Points to anybody who undertakes the task. Mine is self cleaning. Close it.. press play 3 hrs later all done Doh! Man do I feel dumber than owl sh*t this evening. "Self cleaning ovens?" Who knew? I've never had a nice oven. My old gas and electric ovens were all clunkers from the 70s and 80s. This one is a new glass top GE, my first. Sure enough, I looked on the control panel and there's a "Self Clean" touch control. I might have to read the manual and try that out next time, you know, just for kicks.

My nose is sensitive to a lot of household chemicals so I shy away from them. But I have found that some pads and a bit of elbow grease will get an oven spotless.

Just finished talking to my neighbor for a bit. His mother (93) passed away today and they're rushing to get things ready for a funeral in South Florida this weekend. They still have to file papers here and have her transferred down there. I was able to take some of the load off by offering to keep his small dog. He told me I could just stay there to make it easier on me and her. Works for me, works for the pooch and helped them out A LOT. We're related, far down the chain. I'd do anything in the world for them and they would do the same. Good man, Josh.ย Takin care of the pooch is one less headache for them...and the pooch is happier.ย Keeps the karma circle unbroken and everyone is happy! Been a pretty good day...truck cost me nothin but a bottle of a great BBQ sauce which I had brought back for the mechanic anyway...got to take a nap, got to smoke a lot of good tobacco...my doggie is happy, she got some steak again tonight...smile on her face was good to see. Life is good. Feed a dog steak when he's not used to it will bring about some interesting floor cleaning incidents.

Freaking tired of converting files between .shp, .kml, and .dwg something always gets lost and it's cumbersome to repair them. I'd be so much happier if everything at least fit inside a single map projection zone but NOOOOO. At least I'm avoiding having to then make everything look pretty in .ai but still.

Oh, she is used to it...she gets treated as family when it is steak time...and if she makes a mess...no worse than me...she is loved no matter what or when she happens to have an "accident".

My dads hound LOVES spaghetti.
Sitting with my son (15 y.o.) for a dr's appointment. Hes been having trouble sleeping and has missed school because of it a few times. Ex wife doesn't want to listen to my solutions, so she made him an appointment and asked me to take him. Weve watched at least 20 people come in and out and still havent been called. It's an hour past his appointment time and an hour past my afternoon pipe/coffee.
Getting antsy, getting a headache.
This is why I like my dentist. If your appointment is 300, they see you at 300 or before.
At least I have a pipe stashed in the car and 1 charred and ready when I get home.
*sigh*
(end of my babbling)

Back home from my checkup and scan. Had blood drawn, urine tested, and I had my prostate examined by the #1 urologist in the state of Texas.๐จ๐จ Haven't received any results yet, but at least that's done.

I hope all your tests come back clear, Ronv69. I'm sure that was a nice birthday treat. roadsdiverged, I hate it when appointment times go way past. I feel your pain. After deciding not to get my dagner poker for my birthday, I noticed an offer for Morgan bones pipes (that's right @lonecoyote)... I was going to go for the poker, but because of my drooling issue, I might go for the stubby pot with 9mm filter.

Points to anybody who undertakes the task. Yep, self cleaning oven. We try to do it in the fall and spring when it is cooler. It does its thing and you sweep out the carbon. My Self Cleaning Oven burst into flames years ago. Now only the top element heats up. It is OK for biscuits, long loaves like baguettes and chicken pieces or small roasts if I turn them. Stuff in an iron pot cooks OK as the pot distributes heat. Can roast a turkey if I flip it. Not good for pies or cakes which I need not be making anyway as I tend to eat them.

Only thing heavy that I can lift is my tub of tobacco. Everything else and I'm with . And yes, she is part of the family. Hope all is well, Ron, with your tests. My "baby" who is part of the family.
