In a comfortable room with a bunch of like minded pipe smokers talking about just about anything.
The place isn't nearly as important as the company you have around you.

Excellent question. I would choose on top of the Matterhorne in the Swiss Alps. Afterwards, imI would head to the French part of Switzerland, and enjoy Lake Geneva and enjoy Vevey, Switzerland (and probably smoke another pipe full. 😀

There's a hotel on the west coast of Ireland, near Galway, that we visited that had chairs facing the sea, with a couple of locals sitting there smoking smoking their pipes. It was the first time that it occurred to me that I might like to smoke a pipe. So, that's the place that I think of when this question comes up.

In bed, right after pollinating Kate Upton. You know that she has a very rich husband that can throw a 100 mph fastball, through your heart?

That's exactly the way I took the question (possibly misplaced, however) is where you could have a "dreamsmoke"? So, that's what I came up with.

After a decent English breakfast of sausage rolls, scones, and tea, in the garden area of William Shakespeare's birthplace at Stratford-upon-Avon. A lovely place it is...

Smoked a pipe with Maigret in rural France last night . . .. . though he was on TV and I was in my living room.

Let's see if I could smoke a pipe anywhere. I would have to be in the highlands overlooking working fields.listening to the birds sing and the scampering of the wee creatures going to and foe. Withe the sounds of the breeze rustling the leaves of the bushes and trees. And a creek close by the whisper of the water running over and around the stone.

In the lands of my mother's kin. Sitting with a farmer and his family enjoying a simple meal while listening to their many tails. Then enjoying a pint while smoking a bowl and listening to the Blarney.

I would like to smoke standing on a winning lottery ticket.
Seriously I have already accomplished my pipe goal, which was to smoke at an outdoor coffee house in Vienna. Vienna has seen the genesis of a lot of things, and often with coffee and blue reek.
I sat there, asked if I could light up (I didn't know) and spent a wonderful couple of hours just "being there". Just imagining who might have been walking by in times past, walking right next to me or sat where i was sitting, maybe smoking a pipe and having coffee - Beethoven or Mozart or Strauss, or Freud, of Carnap or Wittgenstein or Schlick, or Godel or Schiele or Klimt or.... For a nerdy guy like me it was really a heady experience.

Gotta come up with a new goal I guess.
I guess I would like to meet up somewhere with some of you guys, and have a smoke. I think that is my next goal.

If I'm EVER going stateside, I'm going to do a briar patch members tour... a bit like the tour around the celebrities houses. Me: Look, there's where JimInks lives. WOW! Wife: Who? Me: JIM! The most prolific tobacco reviewer EVER. Wife: You're cute.
