What is your favorite smoking beverage? I have to say I vacillate between single malt scotch and hot tea, just depending on my mood. Thoughts?

I am going to make it really, really complicated and state: It depends on the tobacco I am smoking. There are some classic pairings, IMO, such as:
1) SPC Mississippi River and really good lemonade.
2) Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake and a Hot Buttered Rum.
I will say that I keep trying beer and tobacco combinations, and there have been some hits and misses, but the above two are my favorite combinations so far.
We should compile a list of tobacco and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks that pair best with them.

Coffee is by far my favorite drink with a pipe. Water or bourbon depending on mood would be second.

Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon. Red wine, followed by Expresso followed by Scotch or Cognac in the evening. Sometimes a Jägermeister if I need to tamp down dinner.

Cafe Du Monde coffee and then some type of Snapple or Arizona or Luzianne iced tea.

A good dark roast coffee pairs well for me. Maybe once upon a time I would have said a 10+ year old Islay Single Malt, but those days are mostly past.

Coffee in the morning and scotch in the evening. It's no coincidence that most of my pipe buying is late at night.

a large pint of milk for me. Don't judge! I actually think that milk goes well with English/Balkan blends in particular.

No beverage at all for me. I prefer to just zone out and let the pipe smoke itself without any distractions.

I'm willing to go as far as tepid water if you're willing to negotiate. Hehe.

Rum and coke or scotch neat. I also will occasionally smoke with a sherry or port

Tasting a tobacco for the first time I find that club soda with mint leaf cleans the palate pretty well.
Day to day smokes it is usually fresh brewed tea be it China Mist or Lipton’s, no sugar.

Usually iced tea, but the cigar guys are converting me over to bourbon. Now with a cigar, my favorite is a cliché, but nothing is better than cognac.

More specifically: Va-Per with Barqs' root beer, cream soda or Dr Pepper. I like black tea- hot or iced, lightly sweetened to unsweetened with English blends. Ginger ale is also good with latakia blends. Aromatics are best with ice water.
