Beautiful, fantastic day! I sat out reading while hubby worked in the yard I started my smoking evening at about 5pm.
First off I tried a blend of Old Joe Krantz and Star of the East Gold (recommended by a friend) in a MM Country Gent, sipping water.
Next I had Belmont Station in a MM Twain, still sipping water.
I followed that up with Cockstrong in a MM apple Diplomat, water on the side.
We stopped for dinner -- Bean Soup, then went back outside and lit a fire in the fire pit.
I lit up some Klompen Kloggen in a MM Twain, sipping some Hobgoblin Dark English Ale.
Next was some Balkan Sterling in a MM Country Gent.
Then I had Royal London Dock in a MM apple Diplomat
I finished up with Roll Cake in a MM 5th Avenue Diplomat and also finished off the Hobgoblin.
Had a lovely view today
Ye Gods, M'Lady, that's impressive. You don't sleep much, do you..? 'Klompen Kloggen'... What a great-sounding name. Dutch, isn't it..? "Had a lovely view today ". I love gardening. I can sit on a verandah and look at it for hours.
LOL. We only sat out until 10pm, so no sleep deprivation.
Yes, Klompen Kloggen is Dutch and it's great! Hubby even likes the smell. Win!

First smoke of the day is Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. Simply Orange is my drink. Suzy is bugging me for attention, while Molly's getting attention from m'lady. Earlier, they were batting cat nip toys around the den. Busy widdle kitty cats are they.

Hi Lady. Where did you find Klompen Kloggen? I remember smoking that prolly 40 years ago. I've not seen or heard of it in all that time. Seems it had an unusual tast to it.

Good Sunday Morning Pipers! Earlier this morning, headed up to Redmond airport to pick-up my daughter and her boyfriend as they've returned from a 3 day get away in the Los Angeles area. Didn't get around to smoking the LJP #500 last night. Too darn tired from working in the backyard on Saturday. However, just finished some LJP #500 in the Savinelli Bianca Rusticated 320 KS. After tapping out the bowl, I usually run a pipe cleaner down through the stem, into the shank and bowl area to give it a cleaning, and then simply run a second down and let it rest to collect any other moisture/tars etc. So, I attempt to run one down, but it isn't passing on through. I pulled it out, turned it over and attempted to run it through again with no success. I was thinking "what the *ell is stopping this?" I twisted the stem off, and remembered as I observed there was the effing 6mm balsa filter sitting inside the stem. Geeeeeeeeeeeeez! I just laughed and said "Oh yah, we do have a filter here..." I'm sure this hasn't happened to anyone in this crowd right? Now, gotta water the apple tree out front, plant some fruit fertilizer stakes around the drip line, water-in, and back for another bowl of something later....

OK, admitted, 10pm is not that late. Thanks, I have to get hold of that Klompen Kloggen. Maybe DW likes the smell better than the smell of Latakia. I too have a cute gardener, but we haven't got a garden, she can be cute in. So she's cute all over our flat and the potted plants on the balcony.
