I reciently started smoking my pipe again. I got a tin of Balkin Sasieni. This blend is very good. I am now wishing I had started back up sooner, be that as it may. I would like to find something similar.
There are a lot of variety available so just point me in the right direction and I should be good.

I need help from the brothers here on this answer, but White Knight and Black House? Wouldn't one of those work. If needed in bulk, Arango Balkan Supreme? I have a tine of Saseini, but haven't cracked it, so I can't compare. I know you're talking about comparing a specific blend, so general English might be too large.
At the moment, Saseini is in at SP and at 8.43 a tine it's not a total bankroll by the pound.

I always thought Balkan Saseini was rather inexpensive. Why would you want an alternative?

White Knight isn't as sweet to me. I agree - cellar some - its cheap and usually easy to get.

Peter Stokkebye's Balkan Supreme is the closest blend to Balkan Sasieni, IMHO. I actually like it better and you can buy it in bulk. Sasieni is slightly saltier and Supreme is slightly sweeter, otherwise they are the same.

I was lookin for tins so I could try out some different blends. If I run across a favorite I will grab it in bulk. For now experimenting seems like a fun. I have been smoking cigars for years so a tin is about the same as a good cigar but lasts a lot longer.
I am have found I like the flavor of pipe tobacco a lot more.

Z If you want to explore tins, you might want to pick up a flat of a dozen 4 ounce jelly jars. You can sample tins, then jar them and move onto another new tobac, without being rushed or concerned about them drying out. |
