Years ago I dined at a neighborhood Greek restaurant, as I did regularly. One evening I ordered my usual, along with the usual side of pita bread. Well, on this one loathsome occasion, the waitress/owner/cook brought my meal to the table with very burnt/black pita bread, which is always otherwise lightly grilled the way I enjoy. When I asked her to please replace the black pita, she retorted that "bread is bread". I stood up from my uneaten meal, laid a twenty on the table, told her my business with her after all these years was dead... "dead is dead". I never went back. Sometimes a good Greek restaurant is hard to find. Who did you hurt the most? When is a sacrifice not a sacrifice, asked Grasshopper? When it is for the greater good, replied Master.

Then there is "Missouri". For half of the state. My older bro spent too much time on that side and started saying Missourah, I told him I'd kick his arse into the Mississippah if he kept that crapola up. BTW, if someone has a better spelling for crapola, please let me know

Greater Good always sounds logical, but I am in the camp that says that works until I draw the short straw. There was a twenty minute film in school called The Lottery, about people who did away with one person every year, I guess to save the rest. Signed, Master Po Edit - Crap, I missed my whole point. Your actions were not necessarily for the greater good. It was individual action/reaction. I have cut off many places I did biz with because of slights that never got fixed. Xuan got cheated out of some money at Applebee's today. I called about it. Xuan even walked back and tried to explain it. Manager covered for worker, and I am helpless to do much from here. Think they will get my biz? It's not for the greater good. It's because we got cheated. I was extremely hard on Xuan until I was sure I understood exactly what happened.

I am a teacher at heart though admittedly not always successful... sometimes by example, sometimes with a brick. Cutting my losses entails not exhausting efforts to justify my motives, words, and actions to others, so I'll leave it at that.

When I was in buisness I had this one customer that had a terrible stutter.I spent hours talking with him about the job at hand or the weather,or just about anything. He was one of my best customers. At 17 he bought his first house, and filled the old basement in with sand. A 1200 sq/ft basement. He did it with a 5 gallon bucket thru a casement window. His chief complaint about people he dealt with was that they got impatient and tried to speak for him.At least once a month I had to stop in and have lunch with him or he'd hunt me down to make sure I was alright. You take care of, and RESPECT your clientele and they will take care of YOU. That is so true! People need to understand we all are just trying to make it a day at a time, without harassment.

People like that aren't worth the effort required to get riled at. I don't mind being corrected, but if it doesn't really make a difference then it can be handled in a more appropriate manner. Okra-Cola,I gotta remember that one... Grey-bow,GrAAH-bow,Grab-oh,,,I'll stick with Grab-it,I like my Grabows

Usually with several cuss words. Most worthless group of rejects I can think of.I would like to move to Guam. Then I would at least be tall again. I lived on Guam for two years when I was young. I went back for a visit a few years ago. Loved it then, love it now. I'd retire there if it was only my decision. When is a sacrifice not a sacrifice, asked Grasshopper? When it is for the greater good, replied Master. I loved Kung Fu. Funny, I lived on Guam at the time.

I have been to Guam a couple of times, for work. I too loved it. I remember that farmer's market on Wednesday nights, and the kelaguen. Mmmmmmmmmmmm
