A double Bunnahabhain 12 year, and currently a Goose Island Bourbon County Stout
(Standard operating procedure....Every evening, I have a glass of scotch or whiskey before dinner, then after the younger kids go to bed, I have a double and a pipe. Since it is the holidays, I'll follow up with a pint, sometimes more)

Eggnog with Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon. I bought this by mistake, but it's better than I expected. It makes interesting mixed drinks. I completely forgot eggnog this year. Knob Creek is one of my favourite bourbons. Very complex when sipped neat, yet robust and reasonably priced enough to use as a mixer. I saw the smoked maple, but I usually steer away from stuff like that. I can really see how it could fit right at home with some eggnog though. |

I had a double Tin Cup whiskey over ice with a splash of ginger ale erlier. It was okay, I guess. Not ready to offer a solid opinion on that whiskey yet. Comes with a neat cup though. haha

They have some disgusting stuff out there. I grabbed it off a Knob Creek display and didn't see the smoked bacon label until I got home. It would probably be a great breakfast bourbon if you were in to that. It isn't awful, but I like straight bourbon, OGD Bond. |

My nephew is dating a girl from Puerto Rico, and she taught us all how to make coquitos. OMG. This is eggnog on steroids. One coquito and everyone is more interesting. Two coquito and you hide your car keys. Lovely stuff.

At my niece's birthday party tonight I polished off over half a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. I usually don't like this wine, but my nephews fiance picked up several cases and I can't stop drinking it. The label just says "75".
