It's very good. It's a little less exciting than the Laphroaig 10 and 15,but still obviously a Laphroaig. If you like Laphroaig, you will like the Triple Wood. If you don't, maybe an amaretto sour?🤡 Sounds like I'll have to give it a whirl as I definitely like Laphroaig 10 and 15. Amaretto Sour?? You're funny!! Maybe a Hot Chocolate?

Sounds like I'll have to give it a whirl as I definitely like Laphroaig 10 and 15. Amaretto Sour?? You're funny!! When I drank Scotch, Laphroaig was one of my favorites. When I visited Scotland, they were high on my list for a visit. I do not drink much Scotch anymore except at the house of my ex-wife. She is a Glenlivet drinker, bless her pea picking heart. I rarely drink Scotch anymore. I did love Laphroaig, and Taliskers. I was playing a lot of Scottish music in those days. Now I play mostly Appalachian fiddle tunes and old time music. So, as you could have guessed, I wondered away from Scotch and into the ever loving arms of bourbon. Scotch drinkers, more extroverted, like their cigars, and learn early how to hold a drink and a lit cigar in one hand, while the other hand is in sympathetic motion with their talking and salesmanship. Bourbon drinkers, well that is for pipe guys. We learn early how to smoke a pipe while contemplating the beautiful glass of bourbon in front of us, and then to sip the bourbon while contemplating the beauty of the pipe we have carefully rested against the tamper or ash tray. Bourbon drinkers and pipe smokers, we look forward to having nothing to say.

Had to pour an early dram of Wild Turkey 101. It has been a cold day and I have been cold all day. Winter!

Not much of a drinking man, but I've been fighting off a bug for about 3 days, and I can't get a handle on it. I'm chilled all the time. I finally drug out the Buffalo Trace, had a couple of fingers, and now I'm going to bed with an extra heater in the room and a lot of wool blankets on the bed.
We'll see if it helps. Ain't in the mood for fuzzlin' with all the lemon/honey/water for an actual toddy. Bourbon and bed. That's my medicine.

Hope you get some relief, Bigwoolie...sickness is a real drag and depressing as well.

Hope you feel better better, Dewayne. You might try making a Hot Toddy. Bourbon, hot water, lemon, lime or orange juice, and a little sugar. You can add spices as you want. Always does the trick for me when I have a chill.

Enjoying a cocktail I call a "Brooklyn". It is like a Manhattan but made with Sicilian Marsala instead of French or Italian Sweet Vermouth. Bitters, of course. A little frozen vodka instead of ice. Stirred, not shaken.

Wife brought home a bottle of Knob Creek 100 proof 375ml. I suppose I will add it to the unopened bottles. Sipping Jim Beam Double Oak over ice with a touch of vanilla scraped from a fresh bean a New Years treat.
